This blower comes unassembled, it took little time to completely assemble. The unit is lightweight and maneuvers rather easily. The three wheel set up isn't really the best for hilly or uneven yards. It would be better if it ran on regular gas without having to mix the gas with oil. I also noticed that you could get one of these units with a weedeater and edger attachments. This blower is not very quiet but most gas powered blowers aren't.

Some assembly is required, including putting on the wheels and attaching the handlebars, which seems pretty simple, however, we found the instructions to be a bit unclear (such as direction of handlebars; specifying the wrong size wrench) so it took a whole lot longer than necessary. The blower is fairly lightweight, and I found it to be easy to maneuver with its rotating third wheel. Overall, good for infrequent home use.

Very well designed Outdoor Blower that really gets the job done quickly.  Rather easy to assemble, and even easier to use. This new gas blower really puts out the air flow needed to clean our shop floor, and also the driveway. It even blew all the rocks away in the nearly 1000 foot parking lot. The handle height is about the same height as a door knob, making for a very comfortable handling overall. The design and quality is evident in all aspects, right down to the wheels and the ergonomic handle, which also folds down for storage and transporting needs. I would highly recommend this gas Outdoor Blower to any & all Home Depot Shoppers.

Since we live on a fully wooded lot that is a couple acres, we have two hand held leaf blowers but still find that we have to rack and tarp. So when I saw this wheeled leaf blower I knew I had to try it!!! It was a bit tricky to assemble because the front wheel attachment point is like a key so it must perfectly align before it will slide all the way into place. It took about 45 minutes to assemble. Once assembled it started up with a couple of string pulls and it wheels around with ease! It is light weight and maneuvers nicely in tights areas. The wheels seem durable. This blower is much better on your back than the hand held blowers!! And it is also far more powerful then the handheld blowers as well!! This beats tarping, dragging or even hand held blowing!! This will surely make our fall better than ever!!!

I got this just in time to blow the early fall of leaves in my backyard. A friend of mine swears by this type of blower over the backpack type, so i decided I would give it a try. Assembly was relatively straight forward and took me about 30 minutes to put together. It came with the oil that was required so that saved me a trip to Home Depot to buy some. Once I was done putting it together, I took it to the backyard and set about blowing some leaves. I do like that it has an adjustable port that can be used to directionally blow the leaves and it does so with enough pressure to do a good job. The one thing I noticed immediately is that it was difficult to use on uneven parts of my yard. The wheel would sometimes turn on the uneven parts of the yard. The other thing I noticed after about 10 minutes or so of use is that the handle needs to be longer. I am about 5' 10" tall and after pushing this around for a while, I started to feel some slight pain in my back. I never have this problem with my backpack blower so this was rather bothersome to me. I did let my nine year old son push it around and he rather enjoyed it, so for that reason alone, I like this blower! LOL. All in all, it does a good job of blowing dry leaves and "sweeping" the grass after after I've cut it. If you are a bit on the taller side, this may not be the model for you, but for me, I let me son use the wheeled blower and I used the backpack and we finished in less time than me doing it alone. Of course after he jumped in the pile and blew them back around the yard, it was round two with the blowers. It was definitely worth it in the end though.

As you can see some assembly is required. But the clear to read instructions and easy assembly you are ready to take care of your leaf problem. It took me about thirty minutes to assemble this blower. And once I was done it cut my leaf blowing time in half. Well worth the time and effort I have A lot of leaves and I was done in no time and it stores so easy

Easy to use and effective This blower came at just the right time, the leaves are falling. This is a 2 cycle gas powered blower. It comes with 2 cycle oil so you can mix with your gas to get the proper 50:1 ratio. It comes un-assembled, and wasn’t difficult to assemble, but the directions weren’t the best, especially the illustrations. There a chain dangling from the chassis, we’ve developed several theories the explain the mystery chain; it remains mysterious. The blower itself works pretty well. At first we tried straight long passes through the yard, but found that doesn’t work well. The nozzle doesn’t “flip sides” so you have to push in one direction and then pull back, being a 3 wheeled blower, not the best. We worked it in “patches”, back and forth and it worked well. It took about 20 minutes to clear the yard. Much easier on the shoulder that the hand held blower! It’s not all love though, the blower doesn’t do well on uneven ground, tipping easily and blowing uselessly in the air or directly at the ground. It’s loud too. Lastly it doesn’t handle turns/corners/ obstructions well, you really need a rake or hand held blower along with this to do a good job. This is a good “main” blower for larger yards or yards with lots of trees.

This is a powerful blower for use on driveways, lawns or any large open area which you need to blow leaves or loose objects off of. It assembles easily, and once assembled started on the 2nd pull. The blower has a slightly adjustable nozzle which can blow a small bit forward, or down or up or backward, but it does not adjust very much, just perhaps 15% in each direction. The tricycle wheels are okay for maneuvering, but are a bit narrow which can make it easily tip over if pulling it backwards. The front wheel is a caster mounted wheel which if you let the handle go while its on full blow, will make the unit turn in tiny circles like an airplane propeller. The biggest reason I cannot give this 5 stars is that you cannot adjust the blower output anywhere near enough to clear out anything but large open areas. I found out that I was often lifting the unit up while running (not a good idea though) to aim the blower to dislodge loose leaves and junk. But once the leaves are out of the corners or inaccessable areas, It blew the daylights out of them. I can recommend this, and use it for just what was mentioned mostly, then go back to my hand held blower for those corners or tight garden areas, or sidewalks for that matter. Just know its limitations.

I have a very long drive way and have added a garage to the rear of my home as well as a brick patio and lots of connecting sidewalks and I have been looking for a better solution to clean and maintain this area. I have found the answer in this excellent wheeled blower because of the ease of maneuverability and the power to do the job removing leaves , dirt and clippings in probably half the time as my small hand held blower. I just wish that I had one of these last year with all the fall leaves I am thankful for all of its power to do the job.

The Southland 2-cycle wheeled blower fits in a small market niche - there just aren't too many 2-cycle wheeled blowers out there. Every year I struggle with leaf clean-up; 20+ mature oak trees drop their leaves on my 3/4-acre yard - and my fences and landscaping trap them. So I need both brawn (move heavy piles of leaves a decent distance) as well as finesse (get the leaves out of the corners and from under the landscaping). So - is it more like a handheld 2-cycle blower, or a (larger) wheeled 4-cycle blower? The answer is not that simple. My take on it after one session in the pre-leaf-season leaves is, this is more or less a powerful handheld unit on wheels. It's light and won't give you 'shaking arm syndrome' after 2 hours of run time, but isn't quite as maneuverable as a handheld (or backpack) blower. For heavy leaf-moving where a handheld won't cut it? This won't cut it either. It has its place - this is going to be great for me to blow the lighter leaves and pine needles off my mother-in-law's lawn, but it's not a heavy-duty leaf mover. installation - it looked a little daunting when taking this out of the box, but was really just a matter of 6 blots/nuts. The instructions say you need a 14mm wrench; you actually need a 12mm (and a 10mm).
