The specs say 2.12" for the OD but it also says the "product width" is 2-3/8" which happens to be the outside dimension for generic Sched. 40 pipe. So maybe the manufacturer could jump in here or someone who has bought and measured it. Clear as mud.
2" sched 40 galv. pipe will be very adequate unless several sumo wrestlers sit on it simultaneously.
A 2" pipe is 2" on the inside diameter and 2 3/8 on the outside diameter
Hi, this pipe is threaded. Today Home Depot does supply 2-in galvanized couplings but it will have to be special-order to your store. We hope this helps with your purchase.
I looked in several stores and have not seen 3". I'm not saying some stores don't carry 3" just that I've not found any.
Not in East TX.
Dunno; they brought it outside to me in the parking lot.
Yes, it has a male threaded connection.
Assuming a yield strength of 30,000 lb/sq. in. for the 2" sch.40 pipe, a 467# load at 3 feet will take it to the point that it will permanently deform (bend and not return). This assumes that it is rigidly attached to a wall and that nothing else gives first.
It has a male threaded connection.
