Half of the Product is Dust
I wanted to use the granite pebbles in my cactus and succulents soil mix. I thought I would be sifting it to get pieces that were more than a 1/4" out of my mix, but I was sifting out powder to get to the pebbles. Half of the bag is this clay like powder. I thought I could at least use it like sand, but it was mushy when wet. The pictures show the consistency of what I received as well as the sifted powder from only a quarter of the box.

The picture is not representative of the product. The product is not as fine as the picture represents. What I received wasn't even a gold like color as stated above (the label even said it was the "gold"). The DG was very course - larger pieces - not the fine, "ground" DG as described in the in product description. I gave it a one star rating because it does appear to be decomposed granite. I was looking for something more decorative- this is not it. See attached picture

      Works great and look fine.
I have had nothing but success with this product. I saw a "how to" video on YouTube where they said you should lightly wet it, then tamp it down with a tamper after installation. So that's what I've done and it holds like concrete. Yes, some small stones come up after it's walked one a bunch but that has not been a problem. Yes, it lightens a fair amount a few days or a week or so after installation. It looks great. I put some around small (12' sq) concrete stepping stones, much like the photo on this page, and it holds them in firmly. It's cheaper and easier than pouring concrete walks and in my opinion it looks a lot better.

I have to admit I'm disappointed. I don't see a way to attach a photo, but I'm laying out a walkway that has 12 by 12 pavers in the middle, while the edges are brick-sized pavers. I am using this product to fill in the gaps between the two sizes of pavers. It may have worked better if I only had this product and no pavers....but there are so many pebbles in this that I can't seem to break down with a tamper. And of course the tamper is too big to use between the pavers. It doesn't go very far, either. I bought 8 bags and just ordered 4 more, which still may not be enough. If I had it to do over, I wouldn't use this product for the walkway. It does help stabilize the larger pavers, but then it dries and cracks and looks bad. Doing this on my own, it took me a couple of weeks, digging out the walkway and dodging rain showers. I am afraid that I will end up digging the whole thing back up to substitute a better choice. I hope not.

Distinctive and not what you see every day.
Would be nice to order in larger pallet size amounts
