Introducing the latest innovation in electrical fittings, the Cut-In Snap Lock MC Connector. Our Cut-In Snap Lock provides significant labor savings when connecting metal clad or armored cable in old work (cut-in) electrical box installations. No tools are required when assembling to the cable or box. After installing the old-work box in the wall and fishing the cable through the box, simply snap the cable into the fitting and snap the fitting into the box. The Cut-In Snap Lock MC Connector is also easily removed without tools and it is reusable.

These are a neat innovation for wiring with armor cable. Instead if the old style box connectors which require you screw in the connector, then loosen the screws and insert the armor cable then tighten the screws, these are just a snap in style.
Simply remove the knockout, insert this connector from the inside of the box, then push in your armor cable. Everything just clicks into place. There is even a built in grommet, so no more fumbling with those red gromets on the ends of armor cable.
I'd like to say more as these are great, but I ordered a bag of 25 and only 1 individual connector showed up.

It is amazing to me when they do the research and actually find better more efficient ways to do things. These connectors are not a big deal if you are doing just one, however it becomes a real game changer when doing several projects or a big job. These bx connectors can save on a lot of labor and a whole lot of headache. The snap in design makes it so easy that no tools are needed. Just snap it in and pull the wire through. I think they may become the next best bx connector.

The Southwire 3/8 in. Cut-In Snap Lock MC/AC Box Connector is absolutely and great time saver to the traditional method of wire connectors at the junction box, outlet, or electrical panel extensions. The connector provides a clean, efficient, and manageable method to control the wires and cables before connection. It is easy to install, just make sure you knockout the proper sized metal box circle and snap it in. Being able to use this product that does not require a specific tool, it makes the investment cost more reasonable. I like this unit. No installation instruction for the unit, make sure of metal box hole matched up with the size for the Cut-In.

Easy to use and saved a lot of time by leaving the plastered junction box in the wall. This is a must have when rewiring an old 1920s house.
