Yes, refer to Instructions in the Product Overview section of web page. Secure flex duct per manufacturers instruction, then apply 2" band 20-40 mils thick to seal the connection.
There is a production date on the top of the lid. First 6 digits is the date, last 2 digits is the batch. There should be no reason for someone to open the bucket until it is purchased for use. But you are correct, there is no seal to indicate tampering.
Shelf life of an unopened container is 2 years. We do not have data on how long an opened container will last. For an opened container we recommend using plastic wrap laid directly on remaining product to seal it from the air inside the container. Keep tightly closed in a dry cool place away from heat and do not let freeze. This should extend the life of the product once opened.

It will adhere when dry but not the standard application for this product.
The product has worked but I did allow the cure time. I used the product on a house roof over a year ago and it's still working
The product is not tested for this application so there is no telling it's performance.
This is not what the product is designed for. Will it work? Since it hasn't been tested there are no guarantees. The product is water soluble so if you do decide to try this take that into consideration. It will bond with wood surfaces and will most likely stay in place over time.
We've uploaded a Technical Bulletin and Application Guide to the webpage. Please check the website for this information in 24 hours.
