It does not emit noticeable fumes - its water based. I suspect it is waterproof but you should check the manufacturers website. It can be painted .

Yes. Perfect product for outdoors. Water proof and weatherproof. Be sure to scrape off all the old debris as shown in your photo for best results. I also used a putty knife to smooth off all areas.

I would not use it myself on an aquarium for safety reasons. Might be best to contact your local pet store as to the appropriate product to use.

Is the water based duct mastic sealant available at the buckhead store/ Is it in stock?

Answer

I would recommend ordering it online @ HomeDepot.com, and you can then pick it up at the Buckhead store within a few days. I've ordered numerous times and opted for free-store pick up. This process works very well for me.

I need to put a mirror up b on a concrete wall. Will this work

I wouldn't recommend it. It's not an adhesive, just a good sealant. I'd suggest construction adhesive or better yet put in a hook/hanger with a concrete drill and screws such as Tapcon brand.

It says nonflamable in ad but on tube it says not to exceed 200 degrees can it catch fire on a furnace exaust duct going through the roof?

The person receiving the product shall make his own determination of the suitability of the material for his particular use and is designed only as a guide for safe handling, storage and the use of the substance, per their published SDS requirements. Also, Chemical Stability: Stable under normal temperatures and pressures. Hazardous Polymerization: Will not occur. Conditions to Avoid: Avoid extreme heat, flames, incompatible materials, freezing, or temperatures below 32°F (0°F). I would personally think that anything at 200 degrees would burn,, under any conditions. I and not sure why your furnace exhaust ducts would ever reach anywhere near that temperature, under normal circumstances. I hope this information is helpful.

Seemed to be a very good product. would come in handy if having to replace multiple HVAC flexible duct work. However, we ended up returning the item because we decided to only move one duct for our bathroom remodel so we didn't need product at this time.

I used this to seal new exhaust vent duct and a remote mount fan for two baths and a laundry closet in our condo. It is excellent sealant but can be messy. Use nitrile gloves and spread it with either your fingers or a putty knife and you'll be fine. It's about the consistency of thick toothpaste, so pretty easy to work. I found using my hand and fingers easier than any tools.

Really Great Product
My brother recommended this to fix some sheet metal gaps on my foof to prevent leaks. It worked like a miracle, and was extremely easy to apply. The texture is remarkable, and about the constituency of toothpaste. I crammed the end of the applicator under the sheet metal ductwork, and filled from the inside to the outside. I then smoothed it with a small trowell, and it felt like I was frosting a cake, that's how smooth it is. The cure time is 36 hours. I knew it would rain in 5 days when I applied it. The proof was in the pudding...Not a single leak to the inside of my laundry room. Highly recommended.
