The pull string broke the second time I pulled it to start, the string housing is made of plastic and should be made of metal. Its a strong machine, but made me waste 2 days because it broke down so quick.

Seems a little underpowered. I have been running it by myself rather than with two people and I can stall it out. That being said gas tank is large and can drill many holes before filling up. I bought on clearance for 220$ at that price it’s a great value purchase and it has been doing what I need it to albeit a bit more slowly than I would like. Easy and minimal assembly required.

Very disappointed. In the first hour of use, this auger lost the plastic protective cover that shields the area around the spark plug side of the engine. The retaining screw for this heat shield became so hot that the head of the screw melted through the plastic causing it to separate.
Before the morning was over, this unit also loosened and lost 2 of 4 screws holding the housing on the crank side of the engine.
By the time the unit was started a few times, the guide for the rope on the pull start handle had separated from the housing and was moving freely on the rope between the pull handle and the motor housing.
Multiple failure points within the first half day of use so do not think it was just a fluke.
Returned to local Home Depot for refund. Store employees were very helpful and polite.
