Purple Wintercreeper is an amazing, verdant ground cover that thrives in a wide range of conditions, from full sun to dense shade. The vining plant is evergreen and grows 4 in. tall to 6 in. tall. The uncommonly pretty foliage turns purple in Fall and looks lovely cascading over walls. Keep in mind this groundcover will spread quickly, and send out many runners and roots. It is ideal for an area with not many other herbaceous plants. Planting around shrubs and trees is ideal.

Don’t use around other plants
We have moved to a property seven years ago, I can tell you that if you intend to plant anything around this ground cover, choose something else. It’s roots are extremely deep, thick and thirsty. It will prevent anything from growing through it and it chokes out things eventually.
