Hello, No. These SPDs are voltage specific. They can only be used on voltages systems they are labeled with. SDSA3650 is good at protecting 600Y/347. SDSA2040 should be used for 208Y/120V and SDSA4040 should be used for 480Y/277V. Warm regards, Schneider Electric Customer Care
Dear Beachbum; Yes, SDSA3650 will work on a 208/120 3P4W Commercial application.
The Document can be downloaded from Internet it is 8291-0068A Regards, Customer Care
Hello Shark, The breaker size that can be used for an SDSA3650 is a 15-30 ampere, 3-pole breaker. Regards, Customer Care Center
Good Day! The SDSA3650 is for a 600Y/347 V, 3-phase, 4-wire system ( Do not use on ungrounded systems. Systems must be solidly grounded.) The SDSA3650D is for a 600 V Delta, 3-phase, 3-wire system. Best Regards, Schneider Electric Customer Care Center
Good question. Our surge protective devices, depending on particular catalog numbers, are manufactured here in the US or in Mexico. Regards, Schneider Electric Customer Care
I'm afraid not, we recommend you use the SSP04 series, they are rated for 220/380 - 230/400 - 240/415 & 277/480Y . For additional assistance please contact Schneider Electric at 888-778-2733, option 1-6.
If you connect 2 HEPD80s to the 3 phase 120/208Y service, one on A & B and the other on B & C then the entire 3 phase panel will be protected. The surge protects are non load bearing to the amprage of the loads does not matter. For additional assisatnce please contact Scghneider Electric TVSS Group at 800-577-7353. We look forward to hear from you.
Hi Bronxguy, I contacted the Square D company who states that if your system is less than 480/277 you should not use this product. There is a new product out model number SDSA2040 that is good for 120/208. Square D stated this is good on any of there panels with that spec.
SDSA3650 is a commercial, not a residential product and has no residential connected warranty. We would not recommend using this on any voltages less than 480Y/277V; though it is designed to fit all voltages, it is best suited for 277V to 600V applications. If three phase is in the home, consider installing two single phase HEPD80 units and connect to legs A and B on the first one and legs B and C on the second one. This will give the connected equipment warranty and also 80kA per phase protection instead of 40kA from the SDSA3650.
