A: I actually have the Sense unit, they make the Wiser unit. Under the Labs tab >Floating Neutral you can see the real time voltage and power draw in watts (divide by the voltage to see the amps). I also use the Kasa smart plugs to see the draw of individual plug in devices.
A: PS, you can use the Solar clamps to monitor a separate load. I use them to monitor my Tesla charger.
A: Hi, In order to help you we need to know more information about your application with this product. A: Yes. I see the total power in real time in the app. It does a fairly good job guessing the devices that are active.
A: It monitors individual and total watts in real time, not amps. But if you know electricity, you could turn that into amps. Only problem will be considering the proportion of 120 volts versus 240 volts in your calculations.
A: I’m not that impressed with Sense. I’ve had it for a few years now, and it still hasn’t figured out what things are, much less what they use. Most of what it thinks things are is way off, it’s guesses aren’t even close to what things really are. So what total consumption is is nobody’s guess. No alarms about exceeding total consumption. It often thinks our consumption is thousands of watts more than it could possibly be, if we added up the total wattage of every device in our whole house it wouldn’t come close to what Sense says. For example, it will say we’re using lights of hundreds or even a few thousand watts, yet all of our lights are very low use LED’s, if I added up every light in the whole house and turned them all on at once, it might be a couple hundred watts max. So Sense is pretty much useless to keep track of actual use.
A: Hello Derek, In order to help you we need to know more information about your experience with this product. A: I’m sure you can use whatever number of these on the same wifi. But I’m not sure if you can see all of them from one login. Another thing to think about is that it will take many months and perhaps even longer before they will recognize individual appliances, and other devices that use electrical energy. We have one sense device on our one panel that reads not only electrical use, but solar production. But I’m coming up on almost a year that I’ve had it, and it still has not recognized everything by any means. And those things it has recognized are often either just guesses about what they are, and many times are totally wrong. For example, it “identified” a light that it says uses 972 watts! Very Wrong! All of our lights in our home are LED, and a typical light only uses 5 to 10 watts. The highest wattage light we have in the whole house is 16 watts! So because of this, I’m not able to recommend that you use sense devices for your application. There are other recommendations I would give, but the rules for reviews do not allow me to tell you other brands
A: Sure, It could be fitted to an RV camper 110volt A/C side. This monitors the AC voltage in the "shore power" circuits. If you have solar on your RV, you could monitor how much electricity was being produced by your inverter or how much was being used by your inverter to run the "house". If you are not solar 'off grid equipped' the extra solar clamps can monitor how much of your 'plug in 'electricity, (what I called shore power) was being used by your Dometic roof top air conditioner, your refrigerator (when running on AC power) or any other device (s) you may choose to monitor. I imagine it also a good way to monitor a 'guest' that pulls into your driveway for an extended stay's energy consumption. Those Alaskan's visiting me in Florida, in August, they sure do run that air conditioning like my electricity is free... This will need an active wifi 'connection' to work properly. If not solar and you don't have another needed circuit or two to monitor, consider the 'regular' Energy wiser that monitors only the main feeds to the load center and save $50 +/-
