We are genuinely sorry for the inconvenience but this particular sidesplash is designed to partner with a Home Decorators Syndey vanity, Model # SY48P2COM-DC / Internet #202923684 / Store SKU #423488 and is not designed to partner with singular Stone Effect vanity tops in Cascade. The Sydney vanity has an overall depth of 19 inches, whereas a stand alone vanity top typically has a depth of 22 inches. Since we do not manufacture a sidesplash that will fit a 22 in. depth vanity top, we best suggest consulting with your local Home Depot for the sidesplash alternative that best suits your home decor, such as mosaic tile. We can confirm that we would not recommend you cut the Stone Effects Cascade backsplash (or any material at that) as modification to the product will void your Limited Lifetime Warranty and you risk damaging the product during modification. Nevertheless, we have received information from past customers that have been able to use a circular saw with a masonry blade, cutting from the unfinished side, without any damage. However, I do need to point out that the edges you alter will show white as the finish goes only 1/8 in. through the vanity top material, therefore, any modifications must be hidden as the ends will not be waterproof. Our best recommendation would be for you to enter your e-mail address in the box labeled, "Receive an email if this item is back in stock" so that you may receive an alert when the splash is available for purchase again. Qback, Thank you for your inquiry. We recommend you support the top on all 4 sides. This can be done while leaving the front open by using a frame at the top that is secured on three sides back and two sides with walls and side panel, thus leaving the front open but a frame at the top to support the vanity top.
