So easy to use. The store doesn't stock the kit. We had to order it. Makes installing the rail to post at each end a piece of cake. Highly recommend everything in the Spring Bolt system when constructing your railing. We used the Spring Bolt for our newell post as well. Simple to install, secure connection and looks beautiful. Great for DIYers like us.

Hi Karen, we're so glad that you found the Spring Bolts easy to use. They were developed with the DIY'er in mind, and they help the pro's complete jobs that much quicker as well. Your comments are a great endorsement, and we're happy that your railing project was a success! Thank you. SureWood-LNL

This product is easy to install and fastens tight. There are no visible holes. Drill the holes as best you can, but you don't need a professional shop to install. I used a hand drill and it looks great!

Does what it says it will do.
Easy to install and provides tightness to the fit between the handrail and the newel post. I used finished 2X4's for the handrail, which means I had to improvise, via a visit to my local hardware store, the connections on either side of the post. I would definitely recommend using the recommended epoxy glue, placed into the 1" drilled holes. Doing so makes a tight, solid fit for the handrail.

Quicker and easier than a rail bolt.
I used spring bolts for attaching a railing to a newell post at 1 end and a rosette attached to the wall at the other end and also to attach end pieces to a long stair rail. Took all of about 15 minutes, and that's including the time to mix some epoxy and fill the holes w/ the spring bolts to make them permanent. No holes to plug, so you have a nice clean attachment
