A:  It will hold up to 200lb. according to manufacturer.

    A:  It's more for a cover and not made to hold weight. I have it covering my basement exits. The way it goes on the exit it has four plastic attachment holders that I would imagine to pop off if there is much weight.

          This is a strong cover and it keeps most of the rain out, however, it was not designed with the siding of the house in mind. It was designed to sit on the Bilco plastic egress well and to sit flush against a concrete foundation, however, our wood siding is 8-inches off the ground and this forces the plastic off-center so it does not fully sit inside the Bilco well groove. For about $400, that wood siding should have been accounted for in the design.
