Stalwart Carbide Tipped Multi-Purpose Drill Bit Set (24-Piece)
My dad’s failing eye sight it prompted him to give me his router table, 3 routers and the bits that cabinet doors. This gave me the opportunity to get a new set of router bits that was had a wide variety of cutting styles. I settled on the Stalwart 24 piece set. The wife’s been asking me to make some custom frames for the old stain glass panels that were given to us.
The price was right less than $50, the box that holds the bits was real nice because it holds the bits with a picture of what the bits do and to get so many router bits. So by telling you this I won’t be making a living with this set of router bits. I’ll be doing the next best, making my wife happy.
I wanted to test the bits out so I did six tests of different router bits. I selected a couple of them based on knowing what they would look like and some because they were very different cuts. I had some pine 1” x 4“ for testing. You might be thinking that pine is soft and easy to cut. It also can chatter and show defects. I’m happy to say I did some nice test cuts. Did I mention that each bit has a picture under it to show what the cuts will look like. With my other routers I would need to do a test to see how the cut would look.
If you’re ready to learn more about how to use the different router bits you can find a lot of different videos on Youtube.com. With these 24 bits, I can see where a person could do a few combinations to make a very ornate design. This wide variety of bits will enable you to have the necessary bits to do a lot of projects. You will find that there are other buying options that have more bits or not as many router bits. I found this set to be just right for the projects my wife has in mind for me to do this winter.
Pros: Accurate, Durable, Easy to Use, Good Size & Weight, Long-Lasting, Strong, good storage box
