This tension-mounted transfer pole is more than just a bathroom grab bar, it's a versatile safety aid to be used anywhere in the home. With its tension-mounted installation, you can put a grab bar anywhere in the home without being constrained to being next to a wall. The rotating curved grab bar pivots 360 degree and locks into place in eight different places. Place the security pole in between the toilet and the bathtub to get up from the toilet and step out of the bath. Place the standing aid next to a couch, chair, or recliner in your living room and use it to get up and down from a sitting position. You can even put the pole in your bedroom to get in and out of bed. To install this device, tighten the pole with the provided wrench, creating tension between the floor and the ceiling. Hardware is provided in the case that you should want to install your pole permanently, but is not required. The Security Pole Grab Bar can be used anywhere in the home with flat ceilings ranging from 7-10 feet in height.

A: 22” x 8 3/4” As you can see, the ceiling “plate” is shaped like a capital i -(the kind that has a short horizontal line across top and bottom). If a box were drawn around it, it would be 22” x 8 3/4” The thickness of the plate is 1”.

We love our new Grab Bar

Great product

I am so glad I bought this security p o l e with grab bar. I use this p o l e at the top of my staircase, to access the second floor. It is very sturdy and I don't know what I would do without it, I have been trapped in the house for a month.

My Mother-in-law wants to thank the designer of the Stander Security pole. Each time she uses it, she says, "The person who came up with this idea is a genius." Without the pole, she would not be able to transfer herself from bed to the wheelchair, to the toilet,to the wheelchair to the sofa, etc.

Stylish and functional

I ended up buying two of these for two of the bathrooms in my house. My mother has an adult-onset type of muscular dystrophy, so she has stability and strength issues. I am VERY particular about how things look in my home. I have to say that these security poles end up looking pretty cool. I do have one of them in a shower, which I know is not recommended. However, it's a guest shower that isn't used very often, and I figure I can replace the item at some point if it ends up rusting or whatnot. I get compliments on them all the time. Everyone loves how stylish they are compared to what else is out there. I don't know why products in this category always have to look so "hospital-y." What's nice about these poles is that the curved part (the part you grab) can be moved around the main pole so it points in any direction you want. I just leave it up, even when my mother isn't here, as I can adjust the curved part so it's out of the way. I'm thinking of getting a third one for near my bathtub. I highly recommend this. It's incredibly sturdy and easy to put together.
