A:  I don't know what they are made of, but from experience with what I guess must be the same product obtained from other sources in the past, the wear occurs apace, especially when traveling over concrete and asphalt. When traveling over carpet, the wear is almost unnoticeable. When traveling over flooring such as linoleum, they degrade more than when traveling over carpet, but a lot less than when traveling over concrete or asphalt. Because I travel over all these surfaces, I replace at the rate of once every 2 months.

A:  Hey James, The walker glides are made of TPU Plastic and how long they last really depends upon the user. If you are using the walker for everyday use on surfaces such as concrete and asphalt, you can expect to use them for six months.

A:  Used on asphalt and concrete, my mom's last one month. No other option but to replace frequently.

A:  they are made of a tough plastic/rubber and last about a couple of months

A:  I have had to replace glides twice already and definitely not lasting a year. I only use it going in and out of my senior bldg. when I ride with someone who can't lift my other walker. It is very convenient but I didn't realize would have to keep purchasing glides. \

A:  Probably a nylon like plastic. I read somewhere that if used a lot they are predicted to last 6 months, Hoping they will last longer. They are pretty thick, but if you use them on concrete they will wear more. They are probably as good as they get. Happy so far particularly for the price which I thought was reasonable. I had them sent to the store to save postage.
