Keeps beverages at the temp you want
Claims on the packaging list these bottles have survived:
-70 degree wind chill

Category 5 hurricanes
I can’t speak to any of those so I performed my own practical test.
7 AM filled halfway with ice cubes and cold brew coffee
I then sealed up the mug and left on my counter for 12 hours
8 PM I removed the top expecting to see all liquid but low and behold, the ice cubes were still there!
Besides keeping liquid at the temperature I wanted, the thermos AND lid are dishwasher safe.
Very happy with this product.

Hot Coffee Hot Over 7 Hours!
Awesome! I love this travel mug. Leakproof, easy to drink from, things stay hot, and it just looks so good. It fits into the top of my lunchbox, keeping my lunch drink away from my hands, though I’m always a little concerned it will leak being sideways--no leaks so far, though.
Check out my two photos--a half load of coffee went in just before lunch, at 11:22 am, and was 158 degrees. At 6:26 pm the coffee was still 111 degrees! This was a genuine torture test for a coffee mug--it was only half-full to start and was on a concrete countertop with a ceiling fan on all day and in the path of the air conditioning all day. Over 7 hours, and it was still 111 degrees, so I drank it, and it was great!
Does the cup work to keep hot things hot for seven hours? Absolutely. Is anyone ever going to actually get a coffee cup and let it sit around for seven hours without drinking it? Absolutely not. So just get the cup and enjoy! I sure do enjoy using it.

This travel mug is a great way to take a hot cup of coffee on the go. There is a lot to like about this mug. First the size, holds a nice sized cup of coffee, but the bottle is perfectly sized. I have seen some of those insulated travel mugs that are just obnoxiously huge, but this is perfectly sized. Second, it keeps your coffee hot for several hours which is nice. Third, the trigger is a great feature. The mug is water proof until you pull the trigger and take a drink, One thing to remember, before you put it in the dishwasher, you much disassemble the lid into its two pieces in order to get it fully clean.

This is a great travel mug. The Stanley Classic 16oz stainless steel Vacuum insulated with trigger action mug is just as good if not better than those overpriced big name brand mugs. It will hold hot beverages hot for over 7 hours and cold ones for over 10 hours. It's three piece construction is leak proof, easy to clean and even dishwasher safe. This for me is the new standard in a great travel mug.

Stanley has become my go-to brand for travel mugs. I like this design in particular. There's no handle to it's easy to grab, It also fits in any cup holder I've tried to put it in. I don't use this for cold beverages, but it keeps my coffee hot for hours. I actually leave the lid off for 5 minutes or so after I pour the coffee otherwise it's too hot to drink. This doesn't leak and it really easy to keep clean.

I just received this and so far it is great. We travel a good deal and this will replace an older mug that is not spill proof. It seems to be a very well made mug, as it has a nice feel in your hands. The size makes it easy to hold in any size hands too. I like the push button release to allow you to drink and will also prevent spills when it is closed. It fits well in the console cup holder in the car too. I tested an ice cold drink in it and it was still cold 2 hours later.
I love that it is dishwasher safe and stainless steel inside. That helps with clean-up as well as the taste of anything that you put in it. The inside of the lid comes apart easily to allow for very thorough cleaning and rinsing of all of the moving parts. It’s a very nice 16 oz. travel mug and I am very happy with it.

I just received this and so far it is great. We travel a good deal and this will replace an older mug that is not spill proof. The green hammertone finish reminds me of my Father’s insulated coffee container that he took to work for years as I was growing up. It seems to be a very well made mug, as it has a little heft to it. I like the push button release to allow you to drink and will also prevent spills when it is closed. It fits well in the console cup holder in the car too. I tested an ice cold drink in it and it was still cold 2 hours later.

This Stanley Classic 16 oz. Nightfall Stainless-Steel Vacuum Insulated Trigger-Action Travel Mug is like the thermos bottle of old except that it is stainless steel instead of glass, has a drinking opening that is button operated and the top is easily disassembled for complete cleaning. I tested the thermal properties overnight using hot water and got results that essentially matched the claims on the label. I observed a drop in temperature from 172 degrees to 120 degrees in 9 hours while in a 74-degree space. I did not test for cold or iced as the key proof for me was with hot. I did not test to see if the bullet, drop, wind chill or hurricane claims are valid as I do not expect to encounter those conditions in my ownership. It does not leak which is important to me. One thing that would improve the mug for some would be the addition of a carry strap. Mine will rest in the cupholder of the truck or car when in use.

The Classic 16 oz. Hammertone Green Stainless Steel Vacuum Insulated Trigger-Action Travel Mug from Stanly is just right for that morning commute. I was a little concerned about the push button flow control. But it performed flawlessly. I tested the travel mug for two and a half hours with fresh coffee straight out of the pot. Started at 170 degrees. And after not being opened for two and a half hours. The temperature was 150 degrees. Not bad, but I feel that is should have been a little hotter. But all in all I was pleased with this mug.

I needed a new travel mug both for work and for the car. One that fit my cup holders and one that didn’t leak. This Stanley mug fit the bill on both accounts, plus it actually worked fairly well in keeping things hot and cold.
I was using a fairly expensive all stainless steel travel mug in the past, but its cap leaked, and this Stanley mug outperformed it when I tested them both.
On the label of the Stanley mug, it stated “30 Hours Iced”, so I timed it. I filled the mugs 3/4 full with ice and then added water.
The most I could get out of the “Iced” test was 12 hours until the ice was completely melted. I got no where near that on my old stainless steel mug. So the Stanley mug performed better. The temperature started at 32 and ended at 39 after 12 hours. Very acceptable for a cold drink at work.
The label states “7 Hours Hot”. I poured almost boiling water in at around 186 degrees as measured with my instant read thermometer. 8 hours later the hot water was still plenty hot at a toasty 132 degrees. The Stanley passed in my opinion.
I really like the removable, leak proof valve in the lid. That’s a very nice feature. Learn how to do it because I found moisture under the cap, so if you use coffee or soup, you’ll need to clean under the removable cap.
Overall, the best travel mug I’ve used in some time.
