The 33-525 has a blade standout of 8'.

Does it include metric also?

Answer

Yes, it does include the metric.

Does it have the three rivets holding the hook or is it the one with the metal plate holding the hook?

Mine came with a stripped out screw holding the hook. Very disappointed with that. I keep it in the garage and bought a Milwaukee to use on the job.

The tape measure we had broke so we needed a replacement. I ordered this from the Home Depot website. It is exactly what we were looking for to use around the house. It is the perfect size and great for every day use.

Lasts Forever
I have had this tape measure for over 30 years. This is the second home I have remodeled from the ground up and it has been with me every step of the way. Go Stanley!

The tab bends too easily
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This type of tape measure used to have a heavy duty black metal tab. The ones I have bought lately have a lighter duty chrome plated tab that bends easily. Using the tape measure with a bent tab, effects the accuracy of the measurements.

Had older version for years that finally broke (25"). Always liked the size not to big, not to small, not as bulky as the square ones. I really like this replacement and the fact that it is no bigger and 5 feet longer, a good buy too.

YOU RUINED IT!
Loved the 33-525 tape's ergonomics for years. Then in the last twenty years or so found them increasingly unavailable with all the Fat Maxx craze going on; in which I find them worthless unless you have meat hooks for hands or a specific need. Alas, I ended up buying the 33-525 online. So I offer here, two points of the ONE STAR rating I am giving. #1) The first twelve inches are scaled to the 1/32". Why? Why add all the confusing hash lines to and already cluttered blade? Any experienced tradesman knows how to mark to the 1/16" and that plus or minus equates to a pubic hair (1/32") and if it's a red one, it's even finer! (1/64"). It's completely unnecessary and now find that zero starts at the one foot mark. #2) And you MIGHT AS WELL start your measurement at the one foot mark. This is because the tape won't hook to anything past the stretch of you arm span holding it in place. It pops off every time. Can't measure accurately if you don't have a starting point; rendering it nearly worthless. Bottom line, Don't waste your hard earned money on this product, until they bring it back to it's original design (Can I get my money back?)
