The Steven Raichlen Charcoal and Ash Hoe comes as two pieces as shown, the hoe head with a female fitting and the wood handle with an attached male fitting on the end to be screwed onto the hoe. The issue I ran across was that the where the wood handle fitted into the male fitting, the wood had been taperd way too much and made no contact with the fitting. The only thing holding it together was one brad driven into the side of the fitting through a hole, no glue is used. Once attached to the heavy metal hoe piece made for a sloppy, floppy and soon to fail tool. $25 is too much to pay for something like this. I will buy a garden hoe and cut the handle down for less money than this cost. The materials used are of good quality, stout wood handle, heavy metal hoe.... workmanship didn't match. I returned this product to Home Depot.
