Recently installed this door that I had picked out for my home last weekend. The builder of my home actually has cemented up to and fully against the bottom metal plate on my old door so I had to spend a day chipping out concrete to be able to free the old door out and then had to make sure the concrete step pad was all smooth again so I could install the new door. I like the door because of the design and its not a common 6 panel front door. I sprayed the door the color we had picked out one weekend and then installed it the following weekend. Overall, its a great door for someone not wanting to break their budget, but still wants a good looking door. If you are going to paint it, spray it. Always spray doors for the best results.

I don't normally take the time to write reviews. I made an exception here. I'm very pleased with the delivery condition of Steves and Sons door unit. This manufacturer has done an excellent job crating this door in plywood, lumber, and cardboard, standing on a pallet completely protected from rough handling by $10 an hour fluoride zombie laborers. After reading some of the negative reviews about damaged, dented, and scratched door units from this particular door manufacturer I was a little leery of purchasing, However, the design, material, and look is exactly what I wanted at an excellent price, so I took a chance. I sent one of my guys to get it at Home Depot in Dahlonega GA. It arrived a week early, before the promised delivery date. I was on the job when he got back, and helped him unload it. I was very impressed with how they are packaging the product. Imagine a 3 ft wide small pallet with 16 inch wide plywood chipboard screwed to the pallet and door jamb so the door stands up on the pallet. Then the plywood chipboard sides screwed to the jamb, then the plywood is connected with lumber front and back, to create a coffin sized box around the door. Then a layer of cardboard covers both the front and back a foot away from the finished door. The only part of the unit exposed is the top jamb. The door was in pristine, brand new condition. Disregard any bad reviews about delivery of damaged doors, the manufacturer has gone above and beyond what was needed to solve the problem. My painter was watching all this and commented there's at least $35 to $50 in labor and material to crate these door units this way. I agreed, and can't believe this unit (crated this way) can be sold at this price. Why was this important to me? The front door is the focal point of the house. The foreclosure cabin in the mountains I'm using this door unit on had a cheesy half glass, steel front door with no privacy in the living room, and an easy smash and burglarize liability. My painters daughter is a faux paint artist who can make this primed flat white slab door look like a two thousand dollar piece of wood furniture for a couple hundred dollars. Or there of numerous videos online to show you how to put a wood grain finish on these types of door do-it-yourself for less than $50. Or Steves and Sons provides the service as well. I would recommend this door unit and the manufacturer emphatically. 5 Stars. The pictures I've attached are the end product I'm looking for. These are the two colors and designs I'm considering. I'm leaning toward the pine look with decorative steel peg nails. I'll drill the door slightly smaller than the peg nail, and tap in with silicone of epoxy after its been stained and sealed. I'll have a custom door, finished and install for less than $500. If I finish it, for less than $300.

We put in the wood interior version of this door for all the interior doors of our house. We used this metal one for the door into the garage from the house. We had to special order an outswing, because all the doors in stock at the store were in swing. We were very confused when the door first came in, because of the way they make this into an outswing. The metal threshold on the bottom, which you usually associate with the outside of the door (exterior of the house) is on the inside when installed (see picture, doors must open away from their threshold in order to seal correctly). The door was designed SUPER tight to the top of the frame, so it took us a very long time to get it installed so that the door didn't bind up at the top. But overall happy with how it looks, and that it matches the other doors in the house well.

Nice looking door, it came in,in good shape. Framing and threshold look good and fit well. It's exact what I ordered. It came in wrapped very well.

Steve and Sons met my expectation. But Home Depot owes me for the second door refund that was promised and never paid to date. This is very disappointing!

Needed a right hand out swing and this door fit the bill perfectly. Took about a month to be shipped to my local HD store. Packaging was excellent and the door arrived as I expected. Easy to install as long as you get along with plumb, level, square, and shims.
