The 1-3/4 in. door unit is assembled with 3 nickel finish hinges. The fiberglass is dent resistant and comes primed ready to paint.

- Door slab is built with interlocking stile edge for structural rigidity
- High performance weather-stripping on frame with fin door sweep provides a tight seal
- Assembled with non-removable pin hinges for added security

Answers6-1/4 in. x 6-1/4 in. Small cat door with locking flap is installed 3 up from bottom of door and a perfect fit for cats up to 12 lbs. We use Ideal pet product doors, so you can search Home Depot for their doors and look at any other information you may need.
Does this door come with a ventilated bottom panel as an option, instead of the cat door?

AnswerYes you can. You can install most pet doors in any exterior door made from fiberglass, metal and wood. Please just make sure to follow instructions provided with pet door. The door itself is sturdy and presented no problem with installation. Downside is that the outside trim is not constructed out of solid wood - appears to be light-weight plywood, so we replaced it. Another downside is that the cat door stays in the raised position once opened, which will present a problem with air/heat loss. Not sure if there is a fix for that.
