Q:we have installed the door. Looks great.
we do have a small issue and i am not sure if the piece was sent short or if my installer cut incorrectly but we need to get a replacement piece of the interior trim across the top.
how do we match style and color

Great Door - Not so Great HD installation crew
Five stars for the quality of the door despite the huge price jump. This door was listed online at $800. six months before I finally ordered it. By the time I was ready to install it I ordered the price had increased to over $2000.00 but that’s on me I guess for not ordering it sooner. My main gripe is Home Depot’s installation people who doubled the installation fee from the initial quote, dragged their feet on returning calls, and on coming out to measure. They lacked any semblance of professionalism. I rate them a zero. I found another installer who did it cheaper and whose quality of work was impeccable.

Beautiful Door (Color is not accurate)
We received our Steves and Sons craftsman door much faster than the expected shipping time of 4-6 weeks (ended up about 2.5 weeks). The quality is apparent the moment you see it in person. Very sturdy and well built. It really is a beautiful door. We ordered the Autumn Wheat color which is about 25% darker in person (see attached photo.) Some reviews mentioned this so we knew it was a possibility. Because it's the overall look we were going for we were happy to keep it and install it. We love the look and more natural light in our dark entryway. Overall, the quality, style and windows have made us happy!

Good looking door with a few flaws
I have decent DIY skills and did the installation myself. The door arrived with a very skimpy coat of polyurethane, so I added two more coats. FYI, the color in my pic is the Chestnut color. It is a dark cherry color. The more brownish color seen in other's photos is the hickory. The door as received at home depot also had a small dent, front and center. Not bad enough to return, but definitely noticeable. And finally, even after the door was leveled and plumbed, the dead bolt hole in the frame was ~1/2in off. The main latch was perfect. Despite these shortcomings, the end product looks fantastic. Probably upped the value of the house many more times the cost of the door. Other details: I did not use the provided stained pine brick moulding. I instead used hardi trim which is more durable. The glass panes are double paned and tempered and are only beveled on the outside--so you can easily put film on the flat inside if you want. The door sweep seal seems cheap and was cracking on mine. It will probably need to be replaced soon. I sealed the top gap between the dentil shelf and the door with brown caulk to prevent moisture intrusion and rot.

This is such a vast improvement over my other door which was metal and without windows. The style of this door goes well with other features of my house, even though my home is not technically a bungalow. I love the quality of this door! I feel it enhances the value of my home.

I am very pleased with the quality of this door. The woodgrain shows nicely and it is very solid and tight fitting. The finish is excellent as it the window detail. As a pre-hung door the installation was very straight forward. I highly recommend this product.

This door is Solid! I had it installed and it looks GREAT!. The only issue I had and I wish I would have caught it upon pickup was that one of the window panels had an imperfection where there was a blur spot in the center of the lower left window. I can't do anything about it now but it you buy one, I would highly suggest inspect everything before you take it home! allot of money was spent and you cant just take the door off and send it back.

fantastic door , install tip: if you have an older house with thicker walls install flush with outside and then use the included inside trim pieces to extend the casing for the extra thickness. Then install your existing inside trim. This door is solid and perfect. Curious why they say warranty is void if you install a storm door. See picture for casing extension
