The quality of the door is good. The shipping packaging was great and kept the door from being damaged. I gave it a mediocre rating because it did not seal on the top edge -- too much space between the top of the door and the frame. The door also had a number of smudgy hand prints in various places. True, it is painted with primer, but that is kinda unprofessional.

The door itself is just a plain do can't expect any more. Its been painted and installed approx a month and we see rust showing through?? What's with that?? It was primered from the company we purchased it from why is this happening. It has several dots of rust in one spot see photo attached.

TAMPER PROOF HINGES
After completing the installation while locking it, I discovered that not even one of the external hinges was TAMPER PROOF. The following day when I contacted the local Home Depot they thought a mistake had been made by the manufacture so the Millwork Dept. called the manufacturer and were told they only install one type of hinge on all of their doors & they would not provide replacement tamper proof hinges.
The local Home Depot personnel offered to replace them but they did not have any in stock, so I had to acquire my own.
Who would ever imagine any manufacturer selling outswing prehung steel doors without tamper proof hinges?

We identified the production and made corrections. It appears some incorrect hinges were used on some doors. Our specification for all of our doors sold online is to come with non-removable pin hinges for both inswing and outswing to avoid this issue. You can contact us or any customer ordering this door that faced this issue can call us at 1-800-617-8586 to get the correct hinges shipped out. We apologize for the inconvenience.”

Tamper Proof Hinges
This door does not have tamper proof hinges (as stated) rendering this out-swing door worthless. I've noticed this same complaint a few times with this product and wonder why Steves & Sons can't get it correct. Put the correct hinges on the door and it wouldn't be an issue.
