Works well so far at blocking summer sun on large south facing windows while being able to let light through. They look more expensive than they actually are. Great buy.

These style well solar shades work perfect for the extremely hot Florida sun. We pull this down in early afternoon to help with the bright light and the heat. You can noticeably tell when it is down. Much cooler. When done with it, it simply glides back up out of place. Will be looking into getting a few more for the sunny side of house. Hopefully, it will last.

Threw them in the trash. Ordered them over the phone to be cut in the store, since we are on Covid lockdown. They were not cut correctly, I was very clear on my window dimensions and that they were to be mounted inside. I believe they cut they shade (cheap cloth) portion 1/4” narrowere than my window opening. That would have worked if there weren’t cheap crappy brackets and rolling mechanisims that also need to fit. I ended up cutting them a little more myself since Covid is making everything impossible. They will not roll up themselves like they ate suppose to. After drilling holes in my new house to mount the pices of junk I got so frustrated I threw them in the trash. Complete waste of money. I will get blinds instead.

is a nice product. The fabric is a good weight and the color and texture are attractive. The included brackets are very nice and install easily using the included screws. The roller functions (pulls down and retracts) as you would expect it to. We replaced an older shade with this.

This is a very nice, high quality roller shade. I ordered both the gray and white solar shades for use on my sliding patio doors. This review is for the White Solar Roller Cordless Shade 37.25 in. W x 72 in. L, Model # 40-1600-05.
I ordered both the gray and the white solar shades so that I can use the gray one during the summer and the white one during early spring, late fall and winter. The white solar shade should allow a little more light into the house but I'm not really sure.
I haven't yet installed them because I have to take them to Home Depot and have them cut to size. However, I am very satisfied with the amount of light that will pass through these solar shades and the fact that I can still see outside to some degree.
This solar shade will also increase my privacy and help prevent voyeurs and criminals from seeing too much when attempting to look into my home during the day. I will still use my current shades at night, in addition to the solar shade, which will prevent someone from seeing anything in my home

The stylewell gray solar roller cordless shade was very easy to install with the directions provided. It was installed and ready to use within minutes. Our lanai faces the west and in the early afternoon it was impossible to sit in that room without having the sun glaring into our face. This shade solved my problem. It blocks the sun, and its uv rays, and at the same time, allows me to see outside thru the shade. The shade rolls up and down easily, and becomes basically hidden when rolled up, and not needed.

This cordless roll up shade is a big disappointment. Installation instructions are very confusing. Roller mechanism is very weak and poorly designed. Does not raise the shade very well at all. Tried to increase the pull strength so as to raise the shade. When I got it to raise the shade on its own it was still very slow. To make matters worse, when it reached the top it wouldn't stop. Just kept on turning.

The STYLEWELL WHITE SOLAR ROLLER CORDLESS SHADE 73.25 IN. W X 72 IN. L really delivers on its hype to block out 95% of the suns rays. I have two large picture windows that face southwest which I had covered with vertical shades. The vertical shades would block the sun fine but it would leave the room dark and totally block any view of the outside world. With these shades I not only gained blocking the suns rays (and heat) but it enables you to still see outside. What I love about the shades is the fact that they give you privacy while maintaining your outside vision. From outside you can not see inside the house at all during daylight.
