beautiful well made modern design
I have always admired the modern look of floating shelves. This brilliant white set of three in 36", 28", and 20" are aesthetically proportionate to each other for maximum visual appeal. They are real wood and came pre assembled with included hardware anchors and screws, ready to be hung. Hanging was straightforward using a level, a small piece of straight edge scrap wood, and my drill. I marked the wood with the mounting hole separation, put the wood on the wall with the level on top, and marked the wall for drilling. The 6" deep shelves are 3" high with a total weight capacity of 30 lbs., which works well for our decorations. These totally add a little flair to our den.

Beautiful and floating!
Totally impressed with the look, ease of install with instructions and love the design. These are perfect for a modern look and are used in our newly remodeled 1/2 bath.
They are the perfect size and all have different lengths. Looks real. Great thought in making these shelves which I so appreciate quality in design. Kudos to them. We love them. I can't wait to finish the room.

Nicely crafted wall shelves
We are utilizing these decorative floating shelves to display products in my spouses hair salon. The "floating" style shelves show no signs of how they are supported once mounted on the wall. The keyhole mounting system provides for easy installation and secure attachment to the wall. Assembly is straight forward with the included hardware. A tape measure, level, and drill are recommended to insure the shelves are attached securely and are level. The black finish is nice and has soft luster appearance. The surface is smooth and easy to clean. The three shelves can be installed in a multitude of configurations to fit your decor or for fitment of photo frames, art, etc. Overall the result is a clean and finished appearance.

These beautiful floating shelves arrived today and I can not wait to hang them. Their thickness is as great as I had hoped, and adds so much to their visual appeal. They each have a lip around the top edges, which will help keep any pictures, books or other items from falling off the shelf. I have to choose the items I will display carefully to keep under the 30 lbs weight limit for these shelves. But it is worth the savings, and I have chosen this set because it is so reasonably priced, and they will be mostly a decorative way of updating our bar area. We will order another set for our guest bedroom, they are so nice. I notice many decorators are using them as a tool for updating the look of a kitchen also, but I am reluctant to loose the storage resulting in a cabinet removal. They would instantly update the decor without a large remodel investment, and would certainly be also reused in any updated version of the bar. I really like the suggested arrangement over the pictured twin bed at the Home Depot online page, rather than the common order hung by ascending size.

functional shelves!
I chose these floating shelves to use in my daughters bedroom. She loves this color with all of her white and Aged Clay coordinating comforter and pillows. She didn't want pink so this color was a beautiful option and she loves it. The shelves are great to use above her desk for "leaning" pictures, desk accessories, nail polish bottles, little plants, etc... The floating shelved look so much better than shelves that have brackets. I took a picture of the difference with pink so you can get an idea of the color. The three shelves are each 3" high and 6" deep and the widths are 36", 28" and 20". The smaller one would also be great above a toilet to store extra toilet paper! A little difficult to mount but just take your time and use a level. I would also use painters tape to mark the holes on the back first and then tape to wall after using your level. That way it's a lot easier to know where to put the screws (hardware included). I really like the options with these shelves and love that they're 6" deep!

Love the Shelves, but Difficult to Install
My small kitchen needs additional storage space, so I selected the StyleWall Midnight Blue Wood Floating Wall Shelf Set. I am very impressed with the build quality of the shelves, which look like mini mantles. The sizes include 20”, 28” and 36” wide shelves, that are 6” deep and 3” height. I especially like the lip around the perimeter, which prevents things from falling off.
On the down side, the shelves are extremely difficult to mount because the wall screws have zero tolerance for error, and it’s almost impossible to be that accurate when using wallboard anchors. Furthermore, the heads of the screws would not fit into the slots without enlarging the notches, and the provided plastic wall anchors do not provide a tight fit.
After several attempts, I decided to scrap the floating mounting method, and use shelf brackets, which are easy to install, and provide much greater support. Overall, I am pleased with the quality of the shelves, but the mounting system is flawed and very difficult to install. Buy some shelf brackets and get better wall anchors.

Beautiful shelves!
This shelf set really offsets and provides a pop of color on our wood paneled walls. They are bright and sturdy. Because they have some depth, we are planning on using them to display some of my wife's artworks. It is VERY important to make sure that you attach to wall studs for a tight fit that will withstand the weight of items you place on them. I could not get back far enough to capture all three on the wall, but I have a nice view of the smallest of the three below.

This set came a couple of days ago and it was the wrong set but I’m loving this set better than the one I choose! I love the navy blue in my creamy white living room. Luckily I have quite a bit of blue and gray in my decor already. It came packaged very well and very well protected too. It was easy to put up. All I needed was my trusty level and the other basic tools.

These are roomy shelves for modern or contemporary decor but the quality is a bit lacking, particularly on the corner joints where there are visible gaps. Overall, the shelves are nice and sturdy when hung correctly and tight to the wall. They are 6" deep which is a good amount of room for items. Hardware is included and installation includes two screws per shelf. I recommend using a laser level to mount these shelves but a box level can work fine if long enough. These shelves are made in China.

Nice shelves but for $100 the hardware is trash
I would recommend this product, HOWEVER the mounting hardware that comes with it should be immediately thrown into the trash. Absurdly large flimsy plastic anchors and then wood screws? Seriously, wood screws? It doesn’t make sense to me. They’re not real wood, it’s compressed particle/sawdust board with a nice coating and smooth painted finish. Would HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend using actual mounting hardware. Seriously shocked that it came with wood screws and such poor anchors for drywall.
