Thank you for asking. Wonderful question- Please use normal laundry detergent in the washer. Please dry to the instructions on the product tag. Use dryer sheets, but avoid liquid fabric softeners; they leave a film that compromises softness. Good to do-before using your bath mat for the first time, please wash them. Washing opens the fibers, reduces shedding, sets their color, and improves their absorbency. Home Depot Associate.
