Q:Do you know if it is put on the grass, will the grass be burned? The one that currently have is about 12 inches from the grass and it gets to hot that the grass gets brown (burned).

Works Great transformed this to work with Propane
This worked great. Transformed this to work with a propane gas tank.
Bought a firepit ring and long hoses with a regulator.
My family and friends love it.
I had a tall propane heater not being used. I took the cap off and flipped it over to use as a heat shield.
You can now feel the heat a whole lot better. I also flip it over to use as a cover so nothing gets messed up.
The fire ring itself I used wire mesh to sit flush on top and used the Glass for a nice look.

Started Falling Apart After Only 7 Months!
I bought the fire pit at the end of March, and as of October it had already started to fall apart.
It's a shames, as I love all my other SunJoe products - tiller, leaf mulcher, poser washer... I'm guessing I got a defective fire pit. Have submitted a claim to Sun Joe

Nice pit
Bought this a few months ago for me and the wife. It's good quality as far as the exterior goes. the brick exterior looks nice and is quality. the tub that supports the fire is nice. only drawback is the metal grate that supports the fire and the metal mesh hood are super weak. everytime i clean the ash, i have to put the grate in the ground to bend it straight again. the mesh hood is useless at this point. between the rust and metal sag from the heat, i don't bother with it anymore. another issue is that it's supposed to be moved around if you like. you can't though. the exterior scrapes the concrete. easily fixed with gorilla glue and some plastic chair slider discs. but i do recommend it. besides those issues, it's great!

Arrived earlier than expected and looks great! Set it up and used it the first night without any issues, decent depth and the screen looks more durable than ones I have used in the past. Looking forward to many nights by the fire with this pit.

Although it does not have color anything remotely like photo, it still was easy to set up, extremely lightweight, and time will tell for longevity. The actual color is pretty much all one color of peachy tan. No greys or browns or variations as shown.

Don't leave it out in any kind weather
We purchased this last fall, and used it a few times, then over the winter, all around the top of the fire pit, where the metal ring rests on the "stone", the stone all started to come apart and chip off. It looks terrible. Didn't realize you had to use it only during sunny days and don't let any rain or snow get on it??? It's a fire pit - isn't this supposed to be left outdoors???

cast stone wood burning fire pit
I immediately loved the cast stone base and how beautiful it looks in my yard. This fire pit came well packed and included the directions papers, base, bowl, metal mesh lid and poker. The drawbacks of this fire pit which is why I reduced the rating by one star is because the bowl rusted too soon after only the third time using and the drainage hole needs to be wider to allow better drainage for rainfall and when cleaning the ashes out of the bowl base with a hose. Functionality wise and how nice it looks, I would still recommend this fire pit but the bowl needs a few improvements.

We are very pleased with this fire pit. We used it on Christmas eve and the family loved it! Good price, works great, easy to clean, looks very nice on our patio. The one & only thing I don't love is the 4 holes around it. I know they must be for heat venting & they are great as handles to move the unit around but I'm not crazy about the look of them. But otherwise we love it.
