So far so good. I have a small yard and the grass doesn't grow fast or long, so I thought this would've been perfect. I have the mower set to the lowest setting and I still have to run over certain areas more than once. After one use, the metal piece under the mower by the discharge chute fell off on one side. I turned the mower on and heard the blade hit a metal. I had to end up removing it entirely because the blade kept hitting it. I don't have a bumpy yard or a yard with a lot of trees, so I'm baffled by how this piece fell off so easily. I have a feeling I got a used or display mower (see pics). I've used it a couple of times and do not feel like going through the hassle of returning it so I'll stick with it. It's doing what it needs to do for the most part.

After using a push reel mower for several years, I decided to get a mulching and bagging mower to help vacuum up the leaves in the fall. I have been using an electric weed trimmer and already have a 100' heavy duty electrical cord that can reach the far edges of my lawn, which is about 30 yards on the diagonal in the back, not as large in the front. This corded electric mower works great, the first time I used it, I had been cutting the grass high for the summer, so the first autumn cut removed quite a bit of the grass blades and it works just fine. In the early winter months I am cutting less frequently and set the blade at the lowest height setting. This gets the leaves up pretty well while the grass is not growing as quickly, as the clippings are mostly leaves. I just dump the chopped up leaves from the catcher in my wooded areas and flower beds for mulch to keep the weeds down. The large wheels are easy to roll over the bumpy portions of the yard and can turn tight corners. Once you get the hang of how to drape the cord, it does not really cramp your style or cutting pattern, it drapes just beyond the area of the next cut line. Works great for me, just what I was looking for. It even picks up some of the pinecones if they have not been mashed down to the ground and are still floating on the grass. My grass got burned in spots from over-fertilizing, but overall this mower has helped keep the grass cut to a good height in the summer or winter months, don't blame my splotchy grass on this mower, but on my bad fertilizer application after a long dry summer.

First-Time Home Owners - Solid Investment
Ordered this mower as a first-time home owner with a mid-size yard. The real testament to this machine is the fact that I purchased the home two months ago and had yet to mow... Yikes! When it finally came in the mail (delayed shipping and back-ordered by Home Depot) I put it to the test. Installation was a quick and easy 15 minutes, but had to do a little trouble shooting when starting it. The guide says to pull the starter bar and the push the starter button at the same time, but you have to push the button before pulling the bar (thanks, Google). I started on the highest setting and it took two passes to get through the thick, 2' tall grass. Then I lowered the deck to clean up/mulch everything down. Powerful enough to get through the tall stuff and lightweight pushing. Also purchased a 80', 12 gauge extension cord to use with it - I didn't have any trouble maneuvering the cord while I mowed and got a system down pretty quick to have it follow behind me without getting in my way. This was a really economical, eco-friendly, low-maintenance option and overall solid investment for lawn-care.

The starter wire needs to be more secured as the end of the wire where pulled is a weak solder connection that slips in and out of the slot where it is connected. Is there a fix for that?

Great for Dad
I bought this for my Dad. He has been using a manual push mower for several years. He is in his 70’s and didn’t want the noise or hassle of a gas mower. I bought this for him because the “Snoopy\Dennis the Menace” mower he preferred was difficult for me, and if I couldn’t do it, he shouldn’t either. Surprise! He loves this mower. It is easy to use for my Father and myself. The noise doesn’t bother him and I am thankful that he let me do this for him.

Wonderful!
I just purchased this lawn mower as a replacement for a different brand that I had for many years. It is powerful enough to mow through a foot of grass (first cut of the season) without any issues and although heavier than the one that I had previously, is still manageable. I usually mulch my grass but I like that that the grass catcher came with it that I could use for the first cut because the grass was so long. Also, for the same reason it's nice to have seven levels to cut the grass, and easy to change at one spot.

a little regret
A good machine, better than I used in the past, I like it very much. Only two screws were dropped, one was not installed when the box was opened, and the other was dropped in the lawn after three times of use and could not be found.

Great cutting product!
The only reason I didn't give this 5 stars is a problem I've had with other mowers (and it could be the way I use it). The square part of the assembly that you can see is made of metal, but it fits inside a plastic holder. The electric lawnmowers I've used have all had the metal cut into the plastic clockwise (in order to tighten). I've tried to clear everything out of my yard, but occasionally I still hit things that are buried below the grass height. Maybe I shouldn't tighten the blade so much when I attach it. This can cause wobbling in the blade. I don't know if there's anything I can do about it, but I'd love to hear back from the manufacturer. Other than that, this is an EXCELLENT product!

Let me preface the is review with the conditions under which I first used the mower. It was the first mowing of the season. The grass was very thick and at least 6 to 8 inches tall. We had quite a bit of rain on the days leading up to the first mowing. These are not ideal conditions for this mower. This is a very low power mower. It should do great in a small well maintained lawn. My lawn sprawls over a few different patches and requires a quite a bit of power cable maneuvering. I got the job down, but next time, I’ll go for a more powerful mower that is cordless. I had a single negative product issue that is fairly minor. The foam grip is really thin and it quickly fell apart on my first use. It fell apart on both sides. Definitely not he end of my world, but it really shouldn’t have fallen apart so quickly. My other issue isn’t so much a bad thing about this mower, but the electric heat break forced me to take small breaks rather often. This was more due to the density and length of my lawn than the quality of the mower. I think I could have cut the grass to 4.5 inches l, then went back the next day to lower it by another 2 inches. That would have made the work a bit less tedious and less taxing on the mower. Over all, I like this mower for what it does. It is inexpensive. It is light. It is easy to maneuver and clean. For small lawns, this is a nice little mower.
