Q:Does this do well in hot climate ? Why aren?t these facts listed ? Bare weight if snow??

        Answer This Question

A:  I would say look at the specs for the roofing you are using with this, which should give you a good idea of the temperature specifications.  I live in Maine and used them on my green house where the temperature gets over 120F in there.  Also my pitch is 10/12 and they hold up to snow, thou most of it falls off when the sun is out.  Hope this helps

            Spray Paint
These work great but if you try to spray paint them use something that won't crack with bending. I used the Rust-Oleum 2in1 paint and primer but it started cracking. It would be great if they offered some color options, especially white.

These strips are essential when installing the Suntuf panels with the square-ish shape. I wish the plastic was a bit harder since they are easily deformed. This can cause a 'creeping' of the pattern. So you have to use a long straight edge to make sure your rows of strips are aligned correctly. Also when you screw down the roof panels the screw pull will compress them a bit. You have to be real careful not to deform them and the roof panel. Once installed though it seems to be a good system.

This product is sold as a perfect fit for suntuf panels. They are a very similar shape, but not the same. As you screw one trough down, the ones next to it lift considerably. Once you put other screws in, you can see deformation from the misfit and small gaps. These definitely would not keep out insects, but will probably work for rodents.
