The 1-5/8 in. x 10 ft. 12-Gauge Metal Framing Channel is designed for framing, mounting, load centers and vertical pipe supports. The framing channel can also be used to create trapeze for conduit and mechanical piping. The product can also support ducts and cable trays.

Perfect for mounting garage heaters
I purchased a natural gas garage heater, but I was uncertain about drilling directly into the garage rafters, even though that's what the instructions said to do. Running superstrut across the top of the rafters and dropping threaded rod from the superstrut down through the heater's mounting ears means the weight of the heater is more evenly distributed across several rafters, rather than concentrated on two of them. Now I'm not afraid to walk underneath the heater.

Strut at its best!
This strut is exactly what our home needed. What a difference it makes, we all sleep better at night knowing this very sturdy strut is steadfastly holding our solar panels to their mounts.
The color is perfect and the shape is just like in the photo. This is the larger of 2 types Home Depot carries and fits our needs perfect.
