Q:There is a picture of an oil inlet and a brief description. Does the stapler come pre-oiled? If not, what type of oil does it take?

Answer This Question

A:  The tool is not pre-oiled. The tool should be oiled after periods of non-use to keep the tool lubricated. You can use basic Tool Oil found in hardware stores. Thank you, Surebonder Support Team

Pros: the Trigger fire feature offers two significant advantages over traditional design hand-operated staple guns: (1) Better ergonomics (the handle with the polymer rubber insert on the top is first pressed downward all the way to the body of the gun to 'cock' it, and if one's grip strength is not that strong, this action can be done with the bottom of the gun resting against the floor -- as the gun will not fire until the Trigger is pressed)... see the Photo; and (2) it's easy to position the gun more precisely and hold it in position -- releasing the staple exactly where you want it by pulling the Trigger with one's index finger than it is with traditional staple guns (or when this Surebonder gun is set to its "Normal" mode) -- because there is no shifting of position or 'jumping' or 'wiggle' of the gun that can sometimes occur when pressing down hard on the handle while trying to hold the gun over a particular spot. Using the Trigger to fire the gun is an 'extra step' so-to-speak, but if one desires the better ergonomics or the more precise positioning of the staple... then it's worth the extra seconds involved to 'Cock' the gun before firing. Pros: I used this gun to attach a single-layer sheet of corrugated cardboard to a solid white oak stake; this stake was very Hard wood and when I stapled the cardboard to the stake with the Surebonder gun set to 'Trigger' mode... it did a perfect job: the staple was driven in completely flush with the surface of the cardboard with no damage to the cardboard (the amount of indentation was slight, just right!). I was duly impressed, because -- by comparison -- the (other major brand) staple gun I have with a "Forward Action" lever has terrible difficulty driving a staple into such hard wood, even if I press down on it hard enough to mash the cardboard, the staple still wasn't driven flush with the surface of the cardboard. Cons: I would have rated the Quality as 'Excellent' but without putting the Surebonder staple gun to a lengthy period of use, I have some concerns about the Trigger being made of plastic rather than metal (and noting that thinness of that plastic where the trigger is connected to a chrome-plated metal pin that is attached to a lever that goes inside the body of the gun to trip the mechanism... (there is some noticeable "wiggle" on this articulating joint. I would have preferred that the Trigger and the 'Normal' / 'Trigger' Mode selector knob were both made of Metal.

I am a senior with many hobbies. I wanted to reupholster a padded bench seat that had the wrong colors for my decor. I thought an easier way to get this done was with a staple gun. I searched for something suitable. After looking at all my choices, This item seemed to have superior qualities compared to others. It is made of premium materials and has lots features others didn’t have. Instructions are clear and it was very efficient at doing its job!

The unique feature of this stapler is the trigger which makes it easier for people with less hand strength to use it. Very well packaged and has excellent instructions. Solid construction and good weight. Trigger feature drives staples or can use the drive lever for normal stapling. Uses wide range of staples in various sizes. This will be great for using with projects where dragging my air pressure stapler out would not work.

The Surebonder Steel Triggerfire Staple Gun is great...awesome...I don't have a word to describe how much I love this staple gun.It could very well be my husband's favorite tool! My husband has arthritis in both hands and the option of a trigger release for the staple is a God send. You have the option of using it as a standard staple gun or choosing the trigger feature. Your choice. I tried it myself and it takes very little pressure on the trigger to active it. A great help for those with arthritis or just weaker hands. I would highly recommend this staple gun. Even if your hands are Not arthritic, this is a great product.

This is apractical and very veritile staple gun. It is light weight easy to use and strong enough for most applications and the home, office or work site. Uses the Arrow T50 staples which are the most common availiable at Home Depot. The trigger mechism is easy to use, you prime the handle then pull the trigger when you are ready. It easily goes back to a regular staple gun with the twist of a switch. Also has a power adjuster lever for the stength of the impact.

Good performance and excellent value. I tested this SureBonder Stapler against the Swingline and Arrow T50 staplers. I was impressed with the Surebonder. It is easy to load staples (better than the Arrow), has a good amount of power, and activates without too much squeeze strength. I liked the adjustable (two position) depth of drive, a feature not present on the competition. The trigger mode might be nice for some operations where you have to accurately position the staple. But the trigger mode does not drive the staple as deeply (see photo). The low price was especially nice, at just $16 (at the time of this review) it is a real bargain. I can’t speak of longevity since I’ve only used it on one job, but appears well made.

The Surebonder Steel Triggerfire staple gun is a quality staple gun. I am a 66 yr. female and it is easy for me to use. The gun uses Surebonder #4 or Arrow T50 type staples. It can be used as a trigger gun or a traditional staple gun. It can be used for upholstery repair, screen repair, wire mesh, felt stripping, window cover, canvas, etc. It also has an adjustable staple depth mode. Loading the staples into the gun is super easy: turn the staple gun upside down, press & squeeze the track release and pull the track out..place the staples in the empty chamber with the staple legs facing up and then close the track. It is that simple!

I had no name brand stapler that I used a lot to staple wires. It uses 9/16" staples wider than T50 - 7/16". That stapler is not nearly as powerful as Surebonder. Surebonder has 2 modes: normal and trigger. Trigger feature is very neat as it allows you to put staples precisely where you want them to be. With normal mode when you push lever you are inadvertently moving the stapler. In trigger mode you first compress spring with the lever and then position the stapler and release trigger. You need a lot let force to pull the trigger than press the lever. Surebonder also has 2 spring tension adjustments for low and high force stapling. If you deal with delicate materials you chose the low force. But if you're stapling with 9/16 - longest compatible T50s through hard wood you may want to opt out for high force setting. With plastic guards you can also use T50s staple wires.

This stapler is a heavy duty tool with some nice options. It can function as usual with the top push down handle or, with the flip of a switch can be used with the trigger. See the pictures for that detail. I’ve practiced a little but haven’t used it on a large project yet, I think it will be an easy to use tool for the kinds of projects I normally do. I use a staple gun to recover upholstery in the RV, boat or house. This one appears to use the same staples my other gun uses, and that’s convenient, too.

Deluxe steel Triggerfire Staple Gun by Surebonder makes stapling jobs easier. If you’ve ever wrapped fabric around a cushioned seat and tried to staple it tightly by yourself, you know how a third hand would come in handy. The Triggerfire Staple Gun fills that need by allowed you to pre-squeeze the handle, position the fabric and the staple gun, and then you pull the trigger and the staple easily releases. This staple gun is heavy duty and made of steel. You have the option of using it normally by squeezing its comfort grip handle or to pull the trigger. Additionally, the staple gun has a lever that allows you to adjust the depth of your staples. I like that you can use several different size staples as well from 1/4” to 9/16” in the No. 4 Staples or Arrow T50.
