The traveler xc 2 in. hitch carries a wide variety of bike frames without the hassle of removing wheels. Fits 20 in. To 29 in. Wheel sizes. Push button ratchet arms easily adjust to secure your bike. For up to 2 bikes fits 2 in. hitch receiver or bumper mount, included (in. hitch approved).
  • Fits into a 2 in. class 3-hitch or mounts to a 4 in. to 4.5 in. continuous welded steel RV bumper
  • Ratchet arms have a soft frame-friendly coating to protect the bike's finish

A:  Hi charlie, The extension is 14.25 or 12 inches from the pin to the rack (I added a drawing to the listing, please scroll up to see it) Please measure from pinhole of the receiver to the outside of the tire. Yes, this bike rack will fit larger frame bikes that are not straight, you will just need to adapt the wheel position.

A:  I am not familiar with fold up bikes but if you are saying the distance is 36" between the wheels with bike not folded, then yes, this will work. You can move those wheel holders to any position you want, they slide on the rail.

    A:  Yes. That's what's great about the Swagman XC2 RV rack. The adjustability covers a wide range of bike styles and sizes and it is easy to get the setup right for each bike. You will need to stagger the wheel holders (like the manufacturer's pictures show) to aid in the adjustment. Once you get the setup completed for the first time, you just leave it. The bike rack folding feature is not affected by the location of the wheel holders. Ride Safe!

    I was amazed at the sturdiness of this product and the ease of setting it up to accommodate our two bicycles which are very different in size and shape. The adjustability is easy and can cover a wide range of bike sizes. Also, moving it from vehicle to vehicle is easy and simple (one clip and one bolt and you're done). The folding feature makes it store easily. It also adds minimal length to our RV compared to some hitch style racks and the compactness makes it easy to store when removed. It did take a little time to figure out which clip goes on first, but once you get your setup done, it's always the same. Finally, if you use the locking feature on the clips, you will need to purchase two small, long shank padlocks. It's a simple, effective system, but I also chain the bikes to the rack if I'm going to leave them there for any extended period.

      This is a very nice bike carrier. Well built and quite sturdy. We put it on the back of our F250 and hauled our bikes over 600 miles with no problems. It folds up nicely for storage and is very simple to set up. It would be nice if they included the locking end of the hitch pin.
