Overall, the wood seems decent. My two complaints are that there was a bit of bend in some of the boards, and the stickers stuck to them were the worst stickers I have ever had stuck to any wood product I've ever purchased--by far.
For my purposes, the slight bend is workable, though a little annoying.
The stickers, though, took well over an hour to completely remove all the residue left behind. It's the type of adhesive that is super gummy and stays behind when the paper tag is removed. But, because the product is wood, that gummy mess is pretty much impossible to remove without shaving off a thin layer of the wood under it. It wouldn't have been so bad if there was just one sticker on the pack of 6 boards, but every board had at least one sticker, with two of them having two stickers. They were also all placed in the center of the face of each board instead of on the end, so you're forced to deal with it or have problems when trying to sand and/or finish later.

We are sorry for the inconvenience as these labels are mandated by the State of California. We recommend using a hair dryer to heat the labels up and then they easily peel off. I was worried that they might be less perfect than...
I was worried that they might be less perfect than what I would have picked out if they were available at the store but I was pleasantly surprised. The pieces were basically perfect. I couldn't have picked better ones myself. They came extremely well wrapped and protected. I will have no hesitations to order Swaner hardwood products for any future needs.
