      Answer This Question

A:  Hi, all are panels meet the most stringent emission standards and are both CARB Phase 2 and TSCA Title VI compliant. The 3/4 birch panels are either a soy-based NAUF adhesive or an Ultra Low Emitting Formaldehyde adhesive. If you've purchased a panel and want to know specifically, please reach out to us at info@swanerhardwood.com and we'd be happy to provide more information. Thanks for the inquiry!

Paper thin veneer makes this product worthless.
This product just about cost me a huge job. I had to use it though. Every cut had blowout and every time you grabbed it you’d get splinters and pull up the paper thin veneer. I’ll never buy this again.

            absolute garbage
I think balsa wood has more mass. Literally paper thin veneer that breaks off if you look at it the wrong way. Blue masking tape pulls it off. So many voids it barely holds a screw.

Using a good blade, even the rips had heavy tear out. The cross cuts were super hairy and when sanding, veneer pulled up inches from cut. Almost every cut had issues. For a test I did the same cuts on some russian birch sheets and did not have the severity of veneer tears. The plys look nothing like in the picture and behaved more like the Chinese imports I've seen. This wood is 40% less than a sheet of american maple ply from a hardwood store. I got what I paid for. Now I know.

              Its changed recently
This ply is not the same as it was a couple months ago. The top veneer is thinner, peels, and splits very easily. Its also experiencing shrinkflation. Thickness is now .68 inch. Its also $90 a sheet now!!

The description states 3/4 in., but it is actually 18mm, just shy of 3/4 in. The plywood is cut square and has a uniform thickness. End cuts do not have a lot of voids. Great material for cabinet and wood furniture.

                Quality Deteriorated Significantly
I've been buying Hardwood Ply from HD for decades. Over the past 10 years the quality has declined. It has now become an unusable product. The top veneer is so thin the layers underneath translate through. It's expensive and unfortunately, useless.

                  Very thin veneer
The finish veneer is super thin and splinters very easily. Nowhere near as good as balticcbirch
