Can you use this as a saw guide using clamps?

The multi-piece saw guides all seem to be prone to warps where the two pieces join. This one piece item looks like it solves that problem, is affordable, but need to know if anyone has clamped it to a 4x8 sheet of plywood and used a circular saw to make accurate cuts.

Yes I use mine that way all the time

Straight Edge to guide a saw.

Would this straight edge be a good guide for a circular saw? I need a good straight guide I can clamp down and run my circular saw down the edge to insure a straight cut.

I'd like to know if anyone has found the 96 inch length straight edge to be straight. Most of the reviews posted are for shorter lengths. I ordered the 96 inch and the first one came obviously bent, so I returned and reordered. The second one looked OK but is actually bowed such that the middle is 1/8 inch out of line, rendering it useless for either straight edges or right angles. I'm debating whether to try another exchange or just give up and return it. The bow looks like a manufacturing defect not damage caused by shipping. Would appreciate reviews or feedback for the 96 inch only. Thanks very much.

Just got the 96" after waiting for in store delivery. It looked crooked against the granite edges in my kitchen, and rocked when placed edge down. To make sure, I drew a line along the whole thing and then reversed the ruler. Then starting from the original starting point, I lined the ruler up along the original line closest to me and drew along the ruler again. Line stayed single until the halfway point and then diverged (see picture). Its a pretty orange paperweight as far as I am concerned. Now I have to waste another hour taking it back. Avoid (at least avoid one that got mailed and sat on!)
