It just breaks immediately. I was being extra careful to place it back into the shower, because other reviews warned about how fragile this is. There is no way the tiny tabs on this piece are strong enough to handle being snapped into place. Save your money and just buy a whole different shower trim.

Top tab broke off at first push into the assembly. For the price of this valve maybe Symmons could build something that isn't cheap crap. DO NOT PURCHASE THIS PART! You'll be better off gluing the old broken part you want to replace back in with silicone.
