This is a 4 pane divided light window without any weather seal or caulk. I mounted it on a garden shed for looks, not for function. I had to use a tube of clear RTV to seal all seams, cracks, and frame to glass contact lines. I had to devise my own mounting & framing as you cannot just cut a hole and screw this to the wall. That said, it is hard to find small windows for sheds and garages so I had to endure the extra mounting effort.

Happy I found this window, I bought two to try, then four more. I had to make them shorter to work for me, I shortened the first two by grinding a 1/4" off the top, then next 4 I used a table saw to cut 1" off the top, no problem, they cut nice and now fit nice in my 80 year old barn.

My original wooden garage window was rotting from years of neglect and an errant planter box mounted to it so I measured its dimensions and this was the only window I could find, but I didn't need to look further because this window is a good replacement, it was easy to install, looks nice and with the PVC material used, won't rot like the wooden one did. I'm very pleased with this window and would probably replace other windows in the garage with a TAFCO should the need arise.

Faced with the replacement of a badly weathered window in our 1830's barn with minimum disturbance of the original siding my search led me to this "barn sash". The features that attracted me were structural and architectural compatibility, the elimination of need for putty and paint, ability to trim the bottom of the sash to the slope of the PVC sill, cost and availability. The sash conveniently showed up at my door freight allowed just days after ordering on line. Based on the success of this remodel and improvement in appearance of my historic barn I am exploring the possibility of replacing the rest of the barn's windows.
