AnswersYes, there is a screen included and already attached. It’s only on the half of the window that opens, but that’s all that’s really needed. It can came off for cleaning or replacement.

AnswersThere is not a dryer vent that i know of. These are not expensive windows w/ a lot of options, so we solved the problem by removing the screen & fitting a piece of plexi / plastic in there w/ a cut out hole for the dryer vent. You could also remove the screen & slide the slider part over & put plastic there, but again, you will lose the screen function.

My experience with this purchase borders on unbelievable, here's what happened: When the product was marked 'not in stock' I thought I would call TAFCO to find another retailer or ask if a like new product would be coming soon to HD. June answered and told me she would get back to me, yah right!. In less than an hour she texted that they would be available to order the next morning. And they were!! Placed my order for 4 of them on Tuesday and they were delivered on Thursday. For me, the best online purchase ever. Arrived in great shape. This was for a basement retro fit into the metal frame of a tilt in window. I believe there is nothing available in a perfect fit, but my handyman was able to trim the flashing off (score and break/snap) and got them installed. Opens like a window should and looks a whole lot better than the builder crap. I confirm that to open you do have to pull on the lock as there is nothing else to grab on. Not a problem in my mind as we won't be opening these on a daily basis.
It was easy to installed and It looks beautiful, and it works very well.

Windows were shipped to home. Excellent packaging prevented any possible damage to windows. Easy to install if the rough opening is properly prepared. Sliding side of window glides smooth & easy. Used window flashing tape to seal rough opening before installation. Caulked window frame (outside) w/clear silicone for weatherproofing. More flashing tape will be used over window edges before adding trim. Was it overkill to use these double-pane windows in a shed? Maybe, but the cost & quality were too good to pass up. Windows appear to be very well made. Highly recommended for use in any home or utility building.

i bought that window to replace my basement’s one, the contractor quoted me for $ 500 .i’ve fixed it /myself for about $125 included all material which i can use it for next project and i spent about 6-8 hours for first time ever . i’ve replaced the entire window included the old windows frame! it’s not an energy save or does not has energy sticker but its way way better than my old window and cool enough to save the energy or keep the basement in room temp.

I just installed one of these, my opening was 32”x18”. The window should have been 31.75”x17.75” it measured 31 7/8”x 18”. That made the installation an gigantic pain. Once I got it in it’s actually a pretty nice window. Just take its size into consideration.

The only real problem with this window was the quality of craftsmanship. The window that opens was built into the frame a tad crooked (which did not retract from the functionality of the window, you could just see it with the naked eye), so we had to modify it. There's also really nothing besides the lock to hold onto in order to open and close the window. Other than that, it looks and works nicely, was the only one around this size, and also it is very inexpensive, so it works for us. We installed it in a bathroom we are having to completely remodel, so the images are before the bathroom is completely done. It is nice to have some natural light in there.
