The tang with the ground screw was bent. When...
The tang with the ground screw was bent. When I twisted it to square the plastic housing broke and the switch components were exposed. Since switches are cheap, I used another I had on hand. The switch hit the inside of the cover when I test fit it. I cut off about 3/16" from the switch, which corrected that, then the cover would not seal. There are posts inside the screw hole which were hitting the switch. I had to cut off an 1/8" from them with a dremel tool.I have it installed, and it looks and works well. But it was not the complete and ready to assemble as you would expect.

Toggle switch incompatibility.
The recommended horseshoe plastic detail fitting over the toggle switch did not allow the furnished toggle switch to make electrical contact properly. The horseshoe detail did not have adequate clearance to allow the switch's electrical contacts to close properly. The solution is to leave horseshoe detail out of the assembly against the instructions to use it with the furnished switch.
