A:  You might need to get some flat footpads that can screw in where the casters are or something thick enough to place where the casters are. Where the vertical bar goes into the horizontal bar t-bar, at the bottom center, there are four screws / bolts. So without something to elevate to keep those screw / bolts off the ground, it will wobble and scratch up your floor. You can always try it and return it if you cannot get it to work. But I'm sure you can figure out something.

A:  Without the casters the base is unbalanced due to screws in the center at the bottom, so it still requires to use screw-in glides or studs to be able to stay firm.
