The solid rubber head of the TEKTON 16 oz. Fiberglass Handle White/Black Rubber Mallet delivers a softened strike to protect parts from damage. One side of the versatile head is made of a harder white compound that will not leave marks. The other side is a softer black compound designed to deliver a more cushioned blow. Whether you are working on soft or hardwoods used in construction, cabinetry and furniture or the chrome, aluminum and magnesium parts on cars, trucks and motorcycles, you can safely apply persuasion without hurting sensitive finishes or surfaces. Made from high-strength, lightweight fiberglass, the virtually unbreakable handle core naturally dampens stinging vibrations. A poly jacket completely surrounds and protects the core, absorbing the impact of any missed strikes. The soft, nonslip rubber grip is the ultimate in comfort, and since it is a directly integrated piece of the handle, it can never pull loose like a push-on grip.

One of the best rubber mallets I have ever purchased. I have used rubber mallets from some of the big name vendors in the auto mechanic industry. This one is rock solid, the force is evenly distributed and most applications will only take one or two hits at most. The head of the mallet is built for long lasting use no discoloration after repeated use. It works in all applications within reason, I have had this mallet for about two to three weeks and have used it more times than I can remember and it performs consistently. The handle makes it comfortable and no hand fatigue or weird pains in my hand when I use it. It has met my expectations, I am really considering a second mallet for my father in law, he used mine and was very impressed with the feel and performance. He thought I spent over $50 on this mallet. LOL
