Loosen corroded brake caliper screws, rusted body panel fasteners or frozen bolts with ease using the TEKTON 3/8 in. Drive Reversible Manual Impact Driver Set. This unique tool converts a hammer strike into a powerful, high-torque force, freeing even the most stubborn fasteners. It's compact and lightweight and doesn't need any air or power source, so you can use it in the garage, or take it on the road or out in the salvage yard to quickly remove parts long exposed to the elements. Reversible drive is great for loosening left-hand thread fasteners. Extremely versatile, it can drive the included hex shank screwdriver bits, other universal 5/16 in. hex shank bits, or any 3/8 in. drive impact socket in your toolbox. Between jobs, the set packs neatly away in the durable organizer case. As is often said, you won't use this tool every day, but when you need it, there is no substitute

Good Luck with the Warranty
I bought this impact driver from HD on Jan. 1, 2017 to do a brake job on the front axle of my Honda Pilot. The rotors are attached to the axle using some 6 mm screws with a phillips head. They won't budge if you try with a regular screw driver. With this tool I was able to get the screws out, but in the process the bit tip broke off. A couple of years later, I needed to do the brake job on the rear axle. I used this tool again and now the other phillips bit that it came with is about to break too. No, problem right? It's under warranty. Since May of 2019, I've contacted Tekton three times now - twice via email and once using their webform for a warranty claim. I have yet to receive any replacement bits from them. I recommend that you spend a little more and get one that the manufacturer will actually stand behind - you know, the kind with a real warranty....So, that's what I'm doing next.

This tool is the best thing to remove over tightened screws without stripping them out.I like the ease of how it works and the durability of the tool. I just purchased it a month ago and have used it twice. This by far has exceeded my expectations. Love it!!!

    Worked, but barely
After only a few uses, it is difficult to reverse the direction of the bit. Most annoying is that the strike end is soft. An 8oz. hammer is usually all you need when working on motorcycles, which is my primary use for this tool. The impact end crushed, mushroomed, which created a sharp edge that bites into my hand as I grip it. The point is, this tool is meant to be hammered on and should not be so soft that it deforms while being used.

I used it to remove a flat head screw from an old door hinge. Works great. Very useful for older homes. Great buy!
