WORKED GREAT FOR ME
This thing caught at least 100 wasps/yellow jackets / Hornets. You other reviewers must be doing something wrong. Mine is so full i gotta buy a new one.

Complete waste of money. I followed the instructions completely and tried placing the trap in several different places and still nothing and huge amount of wasps around my house. After a couple of weeks it did manage to trap a few flys but not one wasp. I was excited to get this product and get rid of these things but did not work. Dont waste time or money on this.

The design of the Terro Wasp and Fly Trap is simple and well thought out and should work well if the target pest is attracted. The set up is simple and clean. The smell of the Lure attractant is relatively mild in comparison to other competitive products. Our trap has been hanging for a week and is attracting moths and some fly type pests (see photo). My targets were the wasps and yellow jackets. Thus far the trap has not stepped up to the task. I believe the trap would be very effective if the attractant were effectively formulated so for that I give the quality a 3.0. But the fact that it has not performed against the wasps and jackets is a disappointment. For that reason I can not recommend this product and rate it fair.

I have used products by this manufacturer for other pests, so I was looking forward to trying this one, too.
It's easy to assemble. You have to open a bag of liquid and pour it into the jar and then screw the lid on. It's very easy to do, but when I was doing that, few drops of the liquid got on the outside of my trap. By the way, I had to use a scissor to open the liquid bait bag. It would be nice if it were easier to open without a tool, because I don't like getting chemicals on my scissors.
You use a zip tie to hang the jar from something several feet in the air. It would be more convenient if the package included more zip ties in case you want to move the location. The jar seems sturdy and I think it will last a while, so it would be nice to be able to move it easily as needed without having to buy more zip ties.
Within an hour or so of putting it out, I noticed that three very mellow flies were crawling around on top of the trap (where I had dripped the liquid). I'm glad that they were not buzzing around in the air around the trap. They are clearly attracted to the liquid bait, but they weren't going IN the trap. After a few days, I noticed a few bugs (but not many) actually being trapped inside the trap. My yard doesn't have tons of flies, so I can't comment on how effective this would be if placed in a location with more pests.
I don't notice any smell now that it's assembled.

I am very dissatisfied with this Wasp and Fly Trap by Terro. It has not attracted but I couple of fly's. I followed . the directions but the wasps have not even gotten close to it. Like another reviewer I am going to make my own sugar water and see if that works. I do like the trap it self. It's very easy to pour in the attracted and hang. It should work for a long time. Hence the 4 star for quality.

If you have a problem with flies this might work for you. I have more of a problem with wasps than I do flies. This killed about 9 flies and no wasps. I have the large red wasps that are about a 1" long and two other smaller types of wasps flying around my back yard. I put the trap between two plants that they fly around most. I didn't get one. It has been up for about a week now. I see the wasps still flying around, but don't seem to be attracted to this trap.

Doesn't work
I have large red wasps all over my back yard that chase us inside. Bought 3 of these traps hoping they would work. I placed them around the yard and moved them every few days. After 10 days, not a single wasp has been attracted into the trap. They fly right by and continue to harass us. Very disappointed the product did not work.
