Good product. Questionable handling
This countertop looks and feels great! It's solid and I love the slim design. Unfortunately, mine was delivered to me with chipped edges in both the main slab and the backsplash. It's basically ruined. I read reviews of the product quality and saw complaints of how it would arrive. I really thought I wouldn't have the same problem but I was wrong. I'm not happy with the handling of the product, but it's an otherwise beautiful piece. That's why I still gave it a 3 star rating.

Love this new Thinscape counter material
Ended up not using this countertop because it did not work with the cabinet and sink combo I had chosen. But the material is very nice.

Manufacturing Issue
I have purchased three pieces of the eight foot countertop. Each one of these pieces have had problems making them unusable. These were not shipping issues but manufacturing. If you order this you are asking for problems.

Great new material for countertops and other projects
I picked this up for a countertop install I am doing. I always like to work with new materials and I was really impressed with this Thinscape Engineered Composite from Wilsonart. Thinscape panels are a composite material, made up of papers and resins to achieve an overall thickness of ½”. As such the panels are rated for indoor use and hot pans or electric skillets should be placed on a hot pad. Much easier to work than granite or synthetic quartz these panels can be cut and routed with carbide tipped tools which makes this a very homeowner friendly product. The panels are finished beautifully and will really work well with the bluestone colored tile in the room. One note: when cutting and finishing the edges of these panels you loose the main pattern and instead are presented with a solid color on the cut edge. I think the Wilsonart Thinscape panels would be perfect for bathroom vanity tops, or in mud rooms and laundry rooms especially where you want something more elegant that a hunk of granite.

Kitchen update time always presents challenges and opportunities. We originally were going to use this marble composite as a cooking prep area by our sink. After looking at it and using it for a while we were very happy with how it looked and worked out. In fact, we are so pleased that have now decided to install some more of it as a backsplash behind our sink in a plain blank area that needs some character. Easy to install, easy to use, looks awesome and gives the kitchen a much more high end and expensive appearance

I've never been around "solid surface" materials before and the description of this sounds amazing if you find a color you like. I actually need a vanity but want a square sink and single hole faucet and the premade vanity tops in this line come with a round sink and cutout for 4" faucet. This particular one is made for a kitchen so only comes with the rear backsplash and none for the sides, and no cutouts for faucets.
I'm really not thrilled with the construction. As you can see from my photos, it is a layered construction. The middle is a solid piece with a very thin laminate type material on both sides. I became aware of the construction when it arrived and one corner was damaged (I don't care because I am cutting it down to 22" anyway and won't need that edge). However, I don't expect this to be as durable as I had hoped. The pattern is nice and this is lighter to handle than quartz or granite so better suited for an average homeowner like me.

I haven't had a chance to put this surface through the paces yet, but it has a nice feel and seems like it will hold up. Instead of a countertop, I've used it for a table, but so far it's given me no reason to believe it won't work out in this context. I will probably wind up having to trim a couple of inches off the front, but it has clear instruction on how to do so, should it be necessary. If you're using this as a counter, that shouldn't be a problem though, as it comes in standard counter depth. It also comes with a list of tools and supplies to have on hand for installation. If you do this sort of thing regularly, it's probably stuff you've already got, but if you're more of a DIYer, it would be helpful to take a look at that list before getting started

This Thinscape 6 foot long X 25 inch deep X 1/2 inch thick engineered composite countertop in Calcutta white is a beautiful addition to any cabinets, bathrooms or kitchens. Amazing design and colors. Surprising how strong and sturdy this counter top is for only being 1/2 inch thick. I though it would be wobbly and flimsy but that is not the case. Counter is heavier than it looks but light enough for to handle for one person. Very easy to clean, and nice that regular tools can be used to cut and drill into this. Sizes are spot on as you can see in the pictures. We are going to use for an outdoor grilling area that I’m building. Time will tell if this holds up to the Georgia humidity and weather but being engineered and no sealing required I think it will hold up just fine. Definitely recommend.

This is the future for inexpensive non-stone countertops. Elegance without the fuss.
Who needs those ugly cheap laminate countertops when you can get these beautiful, thin black slabs? (Or other colors.)
You can cut it like any wood product, I used my 6.5 inch track saw with some painters tape to minimize product tear out(tho I’m not sure it was necessary.)
You can use a fine tooth blade or you can just go back over it with a sander if you don’t have one, and when finished you can even use a router and give it a beautiful roundover edge.
YOU CAN EVEN UNDERMOUNT YOUR SINK, UNLIKE every other non-stone option!
It’s the way of the future for anyone who wants to do their own countertops, whether you’re a DIYer or a furniture maker.
It’s got strength, beauty, and durability.
