Hi MK, this will remain on the website as this product is available in select stores. I'm sure you have solved the issue by now but for future reference you can have an item delivered to your local store and pick it up there in cases where it's not already in stock and shipping directly to your home is not an option.

How big of a shed will this secure

Answer

I used the four tie downs on a shed that is 8 feet wide by 12 feet long and about seven feet tall. Even though I screwed them deep into hard red clay, I took the extra precaution of using two 60-pound bags of cement mix to secure them into the ground. They haven't moved as much as an inch since.

Rust resistant or rust proof?

Asked by jeff July 27, 2015

Answer

The cable and clamps are galvanized, so while not "rust proof", the galvanization process provides for an unparalleled corrosion-resistant metal. The manufacturer's website does not mention what the coating is on the actual anchors.

Used them to tie down a trampoline. Used a broom stick to screw them into the ground. We have really stiff clay which makes it very hard to turn as I got deeper. Seems to be a good option, but hasn't been tested yet.

Not the easiest to drill down into Oklahoma clay, but once they got started, everything was good to go. Takes some muscle to get them where you want them, but they do the job. Shed hasn't budged with 60+ MPH winds.
