Maintain clear water in your pond with TotalPond Water Clarifier. It quickly clears water and eliminates floating particles and organic matter. It also improves pump and filter efficiency. Water Clarifier is ideal for when organic debris builds up in the pond or when cloudy water is visible. Also best for use when opening your pond in spring, during spring, and when closing in winter. One 16 oz. bottle treats up to 960 gallons of water. Simply use one capful (5ml) for every 10 gallons of water in your pond. For best results, use before TotalPond Sludge Remover. Environmentally safe, this non-toxic formula is safe for fish and wildlife. Ingredients consist of deionized water and polymers. Before using water treatments in warm weather, make sure the pond has strong, constant aeration to avoid low oxygen levels.
  • Maintain clear water in your pond! TotalPond Water Clarifier quickly clears water and eliminates floating particles and organic matter. It also improves pump and filter efficiency.
  • How it works: Utilizes polymer clarifiers which draw dirt, sediment, and organic particles into a "mass" that can be removed by a filter. That "mass" can also simply settle to the bottom of the pond to be treated with TotalPond Sludge Remover.
  • When to use: Ideal for when organic debris builds up in the pond or when cloudy water is visible. Also use when opening your pond in spring, during spring, and when closing in winter.
  • Dosage: One 16 oz. bottle treats up to 960 gallons of water. Use one capful (5ml) for every 10 gallons of water in your pond or fountain water.
  • For the best results: Use TotalPond Water Clarifier 48 hours before TotalPond Sludge Remover if the pond is stocked heavily with fish and plants or has not had water changes.
  • Environmentally safe: When used as directed, this product is safe for fish, plants, domestic and wildlife animals. For ornamental water feature use only.
  • Non-toxic active ingredients: Deionized water, polymers
  • Aeration TIP: Especially in warm weather, before using water treatments make sure the pond has strong, constant aeration - ex. fountain, waterfall, or other aeration devices - to avoid low oxygen levels.

Q:I haven't bought the product yet but I want to know if I can use it for my aquatic turtle pond

Answer This Question

A:  I use the product in 3 ornamental ponds that contain fish and frogs. There has been no detrimental effects. I chose this product because it did not have a warning label warning of any danger to existing wildlife in the ponds. Some of the other products warn about using it in ponds that contain tadpoles. It is used in conjunction with a product that keeps the mosquito population down.

A:  I do not have a pond; however, I use this in my pond less waterfall. Birds bathe and drink from it as well as my dogs. I do not believe it would be harmful to turtles.

A:  Large pond over 2000 gallons with fish

                by|May 4, 2023

A:  The water treatment will clear up fountain water without filter. However, the sediment will drop to the fountain bottom which may be visible. It is best to have a filter to clean up any sediment or debris.

Here is my reason for giving Total Pond a good review. This spring my new pond 9'X10' started to turn green. I used Total Pond Algaecide for about one week. I saw an improvement so my next step was to use their Clarifier following the instructions for use. After 24 hrs. the water was 90% clear. I then called Total Pond and ask them what was the next step. The instructions on the bottle are a little vague. They recommended waiting another 4 to 5 days and then start using the Sludge remover. My pond is totally clean and water tested 7.5 pH, no ammonia, nitrite or phosphates. GREAT product.

It’s expensive, so it works for a Couple of days, but then the water gets cloudy again, and this is winter where no algae forms; so I’ll see in the summer.
