Hello, If your intent is to try to attach this directly to a garden hose (without the adapters) this will not work. The threaded end of the adapter is almost double the diameter of the garden hose. You can however cut off the ends of the hose and use that on the adapter if it is at least 1/2 inch id. Joe
If your pump is in a filter box, you will need to attach tubing to the outlet of the pump and run that tubing through the opening in the filter box to attach to the inlet of this UV Clarifier. We hope this helps!
To use this product, you will need to attach it to the outlet of a pump for water to pass through it. This UV Clarifier connects to a pump outlet with a 1/2, 3/4, or 1 in. ID tubing. The distance the clarifier is from the pump does not matter as long as water continues to flow through the clarifier. Tubing can also be connected to the outlet of the clarifier to feed water into a water feature. We hope this helps!
