Hello Michelle2020Obama, No need to worry about your blowouts. Everyone experiences them and most people do not report a problem with them and the WASHLET. The wand will come out to spray the PREMIST, but will then retract back in to the unit. It will not come out during use until you are ready and press the button. The electrolyzed (not electrolyte) water is sprayed onto the bowl after you finish to help prevent build-up on a microscopic level, but does not breakdown larger bits of debris. This can help keep your toilet clean longer, but you will still need to clean it on a regular basis. Please take a look at the reviews to see what people are saying about the WASHLET. Wand is kept sanitary by their “e-water+” system. The system sprays this water on the wand from within a chamber. There are also instructions for manual cleaning (which they suggest monthly) in the manual.

Hi Scrappy, I can't answer your question on whether or not Home Depot can install your outlet. But I can help you determine whether or not a TOTO WASHLET will fit on your Kohler toilet. Please take a look at the fit chart for the TOTO WASHLET: https://washlet.totousa.com/images/fitting/washlet-compatibility-chart.pdf A couple of other things to consider are seat mounting holes and water supply connection of the toilet. Both of these will need to be standard and not a special proprietary design. Most toilets will be standard, but some special designs interfere with installation. Hi John, You'll need to have an electrical outlet nearby. TOTO does not recommend the use of an extension cord with the Washlets. Once you have an outlet, the Washlet install is very simple. You do not need to be very experienced with plumbing to install the Washlet onto your toilet.
