A: This item was a made in China quality unusable mistake. I returned it.
A: It’s been a few years since I got mine and I didn’t believe it came with a sweat strip. However, sweat strips should be replaced frequently and they are inexpensive. I still recommend this setup. It’s held up well for my level of use and the price was quite affordable.
A: Yes. I have no problem wearing either regular or sunglasses under this helmet.
A: Yes, I wear prescription glasses
A: Yes, glasses can be worn underneath the helmet.
A: Yes, without any problem.
A: Yes I wear safety glasses and have also worn a respirator with the helmet/shield on.
A: Great question. I use my chainsaws a lot. I resisted getting a helmet until she insisted I have one and bought it for me. Yes, it helps. I do wear my helmet all the time..whether using the chainsaw, weed eater, or splitting wood.
A: I'm not sure how large a piece you are referring to, but suspect it would handle pieces up to a couple of inches long if not too large in diameter. I use mine in my woodworking projects so seldom have chips larger than a half inch in size and most is just small pieces from the saw or router.
A: From small pieces it should be more than adaquit
A: Thanks for your reply, Patrick! V. helpful! I've been wearing safety glasses, but a huge piece flew off into my arm the other day, so close to my head, no warning or change in sound. Has me pausing & reconsider adding more safety gear.
A: This helmet setup is designed primarily for chainsaw work, so it’s great for cutting logs, trimming limbs, etc. It has worked great for me in avoiding bumps and bruises from falling limbs and flying wood chips. However, the helmet itself is made of plastic and the face shield is either plastic or wire mesh. I’m not sure it would withstand large, high speed projectiles such as your question seems to indicate.
