Can you use 2 kits on a double barn door to have them close together in the middle as well as stay open?
Yes. You can install one kit on each door.
Can this unit be adjusted or is there a barn door soft-close system that will start soft close 1" from the opening and then proceed to cover standard 3-1/2" trim. The objective is to protect children from serious hand or finger injuries when closing the door or perhaps just playing. The 1" or even a 3/4" set back is to both reduce the speed and also allow a moment to react and remove fingers. Nick
I have used it for softclose on my barn door. Works fine. And I used it to protect children. It soft closes but remember it's not a sensor if the fingers are still there the softclose still closes like any door but softer.
